Kelsey and Hannah are spending the day with Aberdeen FC Community Trust.

Aberdeen FC Community Trust does amazing work across Aberdeen, using football to support local people of all ages.

From coaching and holiday activities for kids to wellbeing, mental health and community programmes, they help create opportunities, confidence and positive futures throughout the city and beyond.

👩‍⚕️ MEET THE TEAM

Meet Kirsteen, part of the team at GSR Nursing. Kirsteen joined in April last year and focuses on company growth by sourcing new opportunities for GSR’s dedicated healthcare staff.

She enjoys building strong relationships with clients and supporting organisations in finding the right care solutions and services. Kirsteen takes pride in helping deliver a high standard of support while continuing to grow partnerships across the sector.

Outside of work, Kirsteen enjoys strength and conditioning training at the gym and regularly competes in Tug o’ War with her team, Kinneff.

🧯Fire Safety and Fire Marshal (Level 1 & 2)

This course covers the essential principles of fire safety, including workplace and domestic fire safety, fire prevention, and the fire risk assessment process. It also explores the duties and responsibilities of a Fire Marshal at Level 2.

Learning Outcomes:

- Understand their own legal obligations and those of their employer regarding fire safety

- Describe the correct actions to take in the event of a workplace fire

- Identify appropriate fire extinguishers for different types of fires

- Explain how fires start and spread

- Recognise methods to reduce the risk of fire in the workplace

- Understand how to minimise fire risks within the home

- Describe the key duties of a Fire Marshal

- Train others in fire safety and Fire Marshal responsibilities within a healthcare setting
