McPherson Optometry Family run Optometry business founded in 1960. Find us on King Street next to the Castlegate. Welcome to McPherson Optometry.

We are a family run business, founded in 1960 by Charles McPherson. Sons Stephen and Malcolm McPherson now run the practice. Following extensive refurbishment work the practice now boasts the latest technology to maintain and improve eye health. This includes high-tech equipment collectively dealing with a wide range of eye care, from ultra-thin lightweight spectacles through to complex contact lenses and treatments for eye problems. We believe that an independent practice has a responsibility for each and every one of the patients we see and that we treat everyone as we would like to be treated ourselves. This approach is one we do not see often enough today and comes from the practice beginnings. We are proud to be a family business with our history going back over 50 years and two generations of optometrists.
