From 17 November to 14 December 2025, we asked people across Aberdeen to share their views on 13 ideas to help us stay within budget for 2026–2027.
During this period, ACHSCP ran an online survey, hosted 10 in person meetings across the city, and held 2 sessions specifically for British Sign Language (BSL) users.
The feedback we received played a key role in helping the Integration Joint Board (IJB) – who plan, commission, and oversee health and social care services in Aberdeen – decide which options were necessary to achieve the required £14.5 million in savings.
The table below shows:
1️⃣ The budget options considered
2️⃣ Survey results (the percentage of people who felt each option would have a high negative impact)
3️⃣ The reasons behind the IJB’s decisions
The importance of public feedback
On our YouTube channel (https://rebrand.ly/010339 ), Integration Joint Board (IJB) Chair for the Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership, Hussein Patwa, explains the budget setting and saving process. He also highlights the importance of the views of people in Aberdeen in guiding the IJB come to its decisions
