I am so grateful to the 'mystery' women who gave me a cuddle in Inverurie carpark and how much that cuddle can make someone feel! There is still kidness in this world and nobody ever knows what you are truly going through! Its clear that Sarah is just a lovely person and having diabetes really does take a village! 💙

This is Diabetes awareness week and I’m sharing this because Type 1 Diabetes changed our lives overnight.

My daughter Jaelyn was diagnosed at just 4 years old, and every day since has been a balancing act of numbers, needles, and constant vigilance. But most people don’t see what it’s really like—because Type 1 is invisible.

I want others to understand that this isn’t just “a sugar thing.” It’s a serious autoimmune disease that requires 24/7 management. There’s no cure. No days off.

I’m sharing this to raise awareness and to fight stigma. More understanding, means more support and maybe one day there might even be a cure! 💙

Unfortunately Jaelyn ended up in hospital last week with an infection in her leg from her pod. She got some antibiotics in a drip and is doing so well.
We have tried a new pod site tonight to give Jaelyn legs a bit of a break! she was amazing as always, I am so proud of her! 💙💙

I bought some new hypo gels for Jaelyn to try for when shes having a hypo.
They are made from honey and are great to carry on the go for hypo treatments. There were 12 different flavours and I thought I would record Jaelyn to review them..
It didnt quite go to plan.. but she did like the apple one which i didnt record 🙈😂

Jaelyn managed to take her pod off all by herself tonight! I sometimes show her videos of other little girls and boys going through the same and she wanted to try taking it off herself. 💙

2 weeks down on the omnipod 💪🏼. This was an old video from last week, but we are now on pod 6 today and no tears!! She has been amazing.

You forget how much of a change it is to everyone in Jaelyns life and not just us as a family. She has the best support around her and her cousin Aria wanted to help her change her pod last week and was just the best little helper!

Jaelyn is so lucky to have such caring support around her and so many people asking how she is means the world to us. She really is our little superstar and as positive as we try to be, I cant help but get emotional talking about how proud I am of her.

The pod change every 3 days is alot but so much better than multiple injection's every day. 💙💙

We did our very first pod change tonight.
This will be done every 3 days but so much better than her having up to 5 injections a day 😭.

The pump has been going really well and we will make a video another day showing exactly how it works.

She did so well as the 'click' is so loud when the canulla goes in and definitely makes it scary for them. She was absolutely amazing and I am so proud of her! 💙

JAELYN DID IT!!!
She never fails to surprise and inspire us. She got her first pod on today and she was amazing, didnt even flinch.

We have to change it every 3 days, so she will get used to it getting changed.

Jaelyn getting her nighttime jab, although Oaklyn now has to get a 'jab' too after Jaelyn! 🙈

She has no problem getting her jab, although i think this ones the worst because for some reason she likes to watch it going in and she cant with this one!
