Storm Éowyn Update:

Aberfoyle Pharmacy plans to OPEN tomorrow (Saturday 24th January).

As we are still under a number of weather warnings tomorrow, and road conditions are still unknown, we will DELAY OPENING until 10am. This is to ensure staff can safely travel to Aberfoyle.

As always, conditions and circumstances can change and there may be last minute variations to opening hours. These will be communication to you as soon as possible.

Due to the forecasted impact and storm force winds associated with Storm Éowyn, we have taken the decision to CLOSE on Friday 24th January.

This decision has not been taken lightly and we feel it is essential for the safety of all our staff and patients to remain closed for the day.

All weekly medication due on a Friday has already been delivered to patients today.

We believe that Aberfoyle and Buchlyvie Medical Centre are to remain open, but this situation may change at short notice.

We plan to reopen on Saturday 25th January as normal.

Due to arriving on Friday and the high likelihood of disruption, we have made the decision that all regular deliveries due on FRIDAY 24th January, will be delivered early on THURSDAY 23rd January. We also ask that anybody in urgent need of medication collects this at the earliest opportunity.

As always, contingency plans are in place to ensure the pharmacy is open, but we must make the safety of our patients and staff priority.

Due to the forecast conditions and the impact this may have on the transport and power networks, there is a risk that delayed opening and/or early closure may occur.

In the event of unexpected closure, updates will be provided at the earliest opportunity.

We thank you for your understanding and respecting the safety of our colleagues.

We have mananaged to obtain a very small quantity of private covid vaccinations for those that are not NHS eligible.
