✨ Introducing: Sunday Night Birth & Postnatal Q&A ✨
Every Sunday evening I’ll be answering your real questions about pregnancy, birth and the early postnatal weeks — the things that often feel confusing, overwhelming or brushed over in quick appointments.

This week we’re starting with a big one: Induction of Labour.

A topic so many mums-to-be feel unsure about… and yet one of the most common recommendations you’ll hear during pregnancy.

If you’ve ever wondered things like:
💛 Do I have to be induced?
💛 What actually happens step-by-step?
💛 Can I still have the birth I planned?
💛 What questions should I ask before saying yes?
💛 What are my options if I want to wait?

Pop your questions in the box on my Stories tonight and I’ll be sharing clear, calm, evidence-informed answers — the kind that help you make decisions with confidence, not fear.

Whether you’re 20 weeks or 40+ weeks, you deserve to understand your choices.
Let’s make Sunday nights a space for that. ✨

And if you’d love more personalised guidance as you prepare for birth, I’ll be opening up my doula support in the New Year — stay tuned.

Laura 💛

“Blow Before You Go.”
Yes, it sounds like something you’d say on a night out…
but it’s actually the key to healing diastasis and supporting your pelvic floor. 😂

Your breath is your pelvic floor’s cue — and it’s the first step to rebuilding your core safely.

That tiny exhale before you lift, roll, stand, sit, reach for snacks, pick up your baby, or attempt to find the remote under the sofa…
switches on your transverse abs (your deep core).

This is exactly what we practise in postnatal yoga —
simple tools, taught properly, that make your everyday movement feel easier and safer.

If you want support with diastasis healing, core rehab, or just feeling stronger in your body again:
✨ Join us Thursdays at Glangrwyney Village Hall 10.00-11.15
✨ Baby welcome
✨ No pressure, no bouncing back — just real postnatal strength

Achey hips in pregnancy can feel relentless — especially at night.
But you don’t need a new mattress or a massive pregnancy pillow…
You need the right movements.

These simple poses help:
✨ Create space in tight hips
✨ Improve internal + external rotation
✨ Reduce tension through the pelvis
✨ Make turning over in bed easier
✨ Support your hips as your bump grows

And inside my pregnancy yoga classes, I teach you exactly how to use them so you can feel more comfortable every single day.

If your hips have been keeping you up or making walking uncomfortable, this is your sign to try something new.

Why your partner needs this more than you do.....

In my experience, most birth partners walk into birth thinking their job is to:

- Time contractions
- Pack snacks
- Look supportive

But what they actually need to know:

- Exactly where to put their hands to ease back pain
- Which positions help baby move down
- How to read your cues and respond confidently
- The breathing rhythm to guide you back to calm

This isn't about them being 'helpful.'
It's about them being essential.

Sunday's workshop — we practice it all together.

You've Googled "how to prepare for labour" 47 times.

Watched the YouTube videos.
Read the birth stories.
Saved the insta posts.

But here's what you're really thinking at 2am:

"What if I freeze up and don't know what to do?"
"What if my partner just stands there looking scared?"
"What if I can't handle it?"

The difference between women who walk into birth feeling terrified and women who walk in feeling ready?

They didn't just consume information.
They PRACTICED.

They moved through the positions.
Their partner learned the touch techniques.
They rehearsed the breathing together.

So when labour started, their bodies already knew what to do.

That's what our Prepare for Birth Workshop gives you — the embodied confidence that comes from actually doing it, not just reading about it.

This Sunday. You and your partner. 3 hours that change everything.

Your body already knows how to birth — it just needs the right support.

This hands-on Prepare for Birth Workshop combines movement, touch, and breath to help labour flow more smoothly.

Together we’ll cover:
🔹 Biomechanics — learn how to optimise baby’s position
🔹 Rebozo techniques — gentle ways your partner can offer comfort
🔹 Yoga for birth — poses and positions for each stage of labour
🔹 Breathing — practical tools for focus, calm and release

It’s more than a class — it’s a shared experience for you and your partner to feel informed, prepared, and connected before birth.

Following my last post about my experience with baby no 3, I thought I'd share some pics of me in my matrescence & explain the word that explains why motherhood can feel so overwhelming, isolating, and identity-shaking—even when you love your baby.

Matrescence is the transformation into motherhood. It's as significant as adolescence, but we don't talk about it, prepare for it, or support women through it.

When I learned this term AFTER my breakdown, everything clicked. I wasn't broken. I wasn't weak. I was transforming—and I was doing it without a roadmap.

Understanding matrescence changed everything for me. And I hope it helps you too.
Save this to come back to.
Share it with a mum who needs to hear it.
And if you want support navigating your own matrescence journey, I'm here.
