The Optic Shop in Abergavenny, owned and run by Optometrist Jane Truscott and Practice Manager Aimee Powell. Jane qualified as an Optometrist from Cardiff University in 1988, she is a welsh speaker native of Oxford!! Aimee's original workplace training was in HR but took a big change to join Jane in her venture. Aimee is also a welsh speaker, educated at Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni.

It’s with a heavy heavy heart that Jane and I had to make the brave decision to take our amazing boy Crosby to the vet one last time tonight.

He was the bravest and most fearless boy with the biggest heart that touched so many with his love of greeting you all as you have come to our practice. His chilled and trusting nature was evident until the end right up until he closed those big black eyes for one last time.

We will never forget him and his biggest of paws, his one Crosby lick greeting and his single bark for attention that sounded like he was shouting “human” ❤️❤️❤️❤️

RIP Crosby boy you’ve been the best. Thank you for choosing us. We love you so much.

Please bare with us as Jane and I take a couple of days away from the practice.
