My friend Paul Chalky Castledine is the new star of this effort from the NHS. They still suggest using a plastic tub... that you have to retrieve after use ... then empty / clean and dispose of. Some NHS areas already using our bags shame they didn't include them here.
This video explains how to complete your home bowel screening test. To find out more, or for information in other languages and formats visit https://www.nhs...

We’re back to bust more myths surrounding bowel cancer!
Bowel screening helps spot bowel cancer before symptoms start, when it’s more treatable.
A screening kit will be sent to you in the post if you’re within the age range for screening and are registered with a GP. If you have symptoms, you don’t need to wait for a screening test. Ask your GP for an at-home test.
We understand for some people when you receive your screening test it might feel overwhelming, and you might not know where to start. We’re here to help. Find out more: https://bit.ly/2YYuVVv

HyStool® - stool sample collection device - was invented in Scotland in 2015 by Andrew Fraser to provide a simple and hygienic way to collect a faecal stool sample for the NHS bowel cancer screening programme.
HyStool® can be used in any medical screening process that requires the collection of a stool sample such as bowel cancer, crohn’s or colitis and can be used as part of a testing kit, at home, by hospitals, or in health clinics.
HyStool® is made from PVA that is environmentally friendly and dissolves 100% in cold water. HyStool® is easy to use and is as hygienic as possible. Simply attach to a toilet seat or the rim of the toilet bowl. There is no need to reach inside a potentially contaminated toilet bowl to fit it.
HyStool® is strong enough to hold over 2kg in weight without bursting. Once the stool sample has been taken then HyStool® can simply and safely be flushed away.
A HyStool® bag weighs a mere 8g and a 2 bag kit comes in at 22g. The kits are extremely flexible and are small enough and light enough to be fitted inside a bowel screening test kit without increasing the size of the package or increasing the postal weight.
HyStool® can also be flat packed into a dispenser that are ideal for use in hospitals and health clinics. For further information on HyStool® and details on where to order some please visit the website at. https://www.hystool.co.uk/
