Summer holiday stress?
Here is a wonderful technique for releasing tension in the head. We call it the 'Crown pull'.

With fingers either side of the midline along the top of the head, pull fingers gently apart as you take a deep breath in, pushing the abdomen out at the same time.
Release fingers and breathe out deeply, pushing the abdomen in towards the back bone at the same time (like bellows). Repeat 3 times.

A note on the mouth and a wonderful picture of the teeth in terms of the meridians of the body.

A happy and healthy biome in the digestive tract literally makes you smile!

This is because:
• Approx. 90% of the body’s serotonin is produced in the gut, while only 5% is produced in the brain.
• Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that influences mood, sleep, appetite, and pain sensations.
• The right amount of serotonin creates a relaxed and positive feeling.

Here are some tips on supporting oral health and the microbiome of the mouth:

Try to eat a good balanced diet by avoiding transfats, sugary foods, processed foods
Instead eat fresh fruit, vegetables and good fats for minerals and EFAs
Supplement with vitamin C and add in potassium broths made from vegetables or bone broth if you’re not vegetarian or vegan
Hydrate yourself with lots of filtered water
Use natural alkaline oral hygiene products
Practice oil pulling with coconut oil – evidence suggests it might help in the prevention and healing of gum disease
Use a baking soda and apple cider vinegar paste or rinse for clean white teeth
