Oxfordshire Care Awards 2023 – Nominations open now….

Oxfordshire Association of Care Providers (OACP), Carers Oxfordshire and Age UK Oxfordshire, are excited to inform you that the Oxfordshire Care Awards 2023 will take place on the afternoon of Monday 24 April 2023 at Voco Oxford Thames Hotel.

The three organisations have decided to open nominations early to give everyone a longer window of time to gather nominations, particularly our care providers, who we know are experiencing operational pressures

The annual Oxfordshire Care Awards recognises and celebrates individuals, organisations and companies who have demonstrated excellence within the care sector in Oxfordshire.

The Awards bring together unpaid carers, the community/voluntary sector and statutory and independent care providers. Watch last year’s ‘live streamed’ event here.

Do you know someone who deserves to be recognised and celebrated for providing outstanding care? By nominating – that special person, service or business, we celebrate dedication and commitment and in doing so, raise the profile of social care across Oxfordshire.

It’s December!!!
I honestly don’t know where this year has gone. Thankyou everyone who has supported us this year we have had an extremely busy year.
The team are out doing what they do best and helping clients old and new to continue to live their life in their own homes.
I always feel it is so important for people to be able to remain in their own homes even through bad health or end of life and this is even more important at this time of year.

Vascular Dementia...
One of the hardest things to process is the slow changes in the one you love. Becoming a completely different person. Everything changes. Just so you know...😢 It’s called the long goodbye.
Rapidly shrinking brain is how a doctor described it. As the patient's brain slowly dies, they change physically and eventually forget who their loved ones are and become less themselves. Patients can eventually become bedridden, unable to move and unable to eat or drink or talk to their loved ones.
There will be people who will scroll by this message because Dementia or Alzheimer's has not touched them. They may not know what it's like to have a loved one who has fought or is fighting a battle against Dementia or Alzheimer's.
In an effort to raise awareness of this cruel disease, I would like to see at least 5 of my friends put this on their timeline.
But I'll settle for at least 1.

Hey everyone
Firstly sorry for the silence from me on this page lately I’ve been taking some time out to try focus on my own mental health as I’ve not been in a great place.
Secondly although I’ve not been on social media posting the team have been extremely busy with clients providing them with the high standard award winning care they deserve.
I’m going to try and be more present and post more updates.
