Abingdon Court Care Home

Abingdon Court specialises in the provision of residential, nursing and dementia care. You can choose to be as involved as much as you wish.

The home recently underwent an extensive refurbishment, all of the bedrooms are single en-suite and furnished to the highest standards. There is a choice of lounges and spacious dining rooms, plus a tea room, shop and hairdressing salon. The beautiful courtyard gardens can be viewed from many areas of the home and are enjoyed by all and are a hub of activity and host to many events during the warm

er months. Abingdon Court is easily accessible, less than half a mile from the A34 and the historic and bustling Abingdon town centre with its shops, cafes and restaurants, and beautiful walks along the Thames. There is onsite parking available and the home is easily reached by public transport, with a bus stop right outside. The social and activity calendar at Abingdon is a busy one with a variety of activities each day. Our activities team continually consult our residents about ideas and they work hard to ensure that the social program is engaging and fun, with something for everyone.

Our drumming More...Movement sessions are a fun part of doing exercise here at Abingdon Court!

Tapping to the rhythm of the music is what they like to do best. Everyone has a great time.

The people living with us have recently been working with the hug and laugh bear, which makes everyone feel happy and that they always have a friend to hug and keep them company all of the time.

We had a great time getting More...Fresh Air on our lovely trip out to the Abbey Meadows in Abingdon!

Those living with us enjoyed the beautiful nature, and had a delicious hot drink at a cafe in the town centre. Everyone had a great time.

The people living with us love the Omi table here at Abingdon Court, but we tried a different way of using it this week, we used it on the floor instead, and it was lots of fun, and a great way of including More...Socialising!

We finished Pride Month by watching London Pride, and had a lovely sing-along to rainbow themed songs in fancy dress!

Everyone living and working here has there own culture, and we should be able to celebrate in our own special way. Happy Filipino Day!

The lovely people living with us celebrated the Summer Solstice weekend in style, with a fun filled weekend of festivities and laughter, and the joy of having a beach in the garden within our home!

Everyone had a great time with friends and family close by, and enjoyed a delicious barbecue feast. The perfect time for More...Socialising!

Recently, we started to do live online church services in our home. Those living with us really love to come as it's so convenient, and they get to have the company of their friends here with them and enjoy More...Socialising.

Those living with us have had an extremely fun afternoon with the brilliant Tickled Pink Productions joining us here at Abingdon Court.

They sang plenty of joyful songs to boost the energy in our home. Everyone had a great time singing and dancing along.

Celebrating different cultures here at Abingdon Court is so important to us, and we love to try all different types of cuisines and watch traditional dancing and outfits being worn, happy Africa Day!
