I’m a Hypnotherapist and Coach and really passionate about helping women live meaningful, authentic lives. I’m particularly interested in those that are feeling exhausted and overwhelmed by the burdens of modern life. When you get to midlife, as women, we have been giving so much to others, that we forget to look after ourselves. I’ve helped many clients overcome issues with anxiety, sleep issues, overwhelm and low confidence. Many clients tell me they barely recognise themselves any more. This is where I can help. You can work with me in a number of ways, either through bespoke hypnotherapy and coaching packages or through online courses which include hypnotherapy sessions you can complete in the comfort of your own home. Midlife is anything but calm, especially as a mum of a neurodivergent child.

You’re navigating perimenopause, fighting for your child’s EHCP, researching sensory diets at midnight, and running on cortisol and cold coffee.

Nobody prepared you for this version of midlife. The one where you’re simultaneously the strongest person in the room and completely on your knees.

You’ve been on a fast learning curve in your child’s needs. Their triggers, their therapies, their meltdowns...yet you can’t remember the last time you had some down time and checked in with yourself to see how you are doing.

Your nervous system has been in survival mode for so long, it’s forgotten what calm feels like. It’s not weakness, it’s just natural when you pour everything into everyone else and leave nothing for yourself.

Hypnotherapy works directly with your subconscious mind, the part that’s been white-knuckling it through it all, and releases tension, fear and the exhaustion you’ve been carrying. So you can still show up for your child whilst actually feeling yourself once more.

If this landed for you — save for the days you need reminding you’re not alone.

And if you’re ready to stop just surviving, drop me a DM to chat.

When your neurodivergent child has a meltdown before school, they are experiencing a total nervous system overload.

They simply can’t process any more information. It becomes hard for them to transition from each daily task and going from one setting to another… even if they are completely familiar with the classroom and don’t mind it when they are there.

One way you can help your neurodivergent child is to factor in extra time for them to process things. Give them the extra time they need, rather than rushing around.

Having a routine and making things predictable really helps too. Once they know what will happen next and in a certain order, they begin to relax and have one less thing to process.

I hope you found this series helpful. I’m going to be sharing more of these series to help you discover ways you can help your neurodivergent child in their daily lives over the next coming weeks. Share with others who may appreciate this.

You’re running around, frantically trying to get everything ready for your child’s school day…then the moment it gets closer to leaving for school, the meltdown strikes!…

Why does that always happen?!

Your neurodivergent children has to use so much executive function dealing with lots of information to process all at once.

For us, these tasks may come a lot more naturally, so it’s easy to forget what our child is having to process and cope with as they get ready for school.

One thing you can do to help your neurodivergent child, is simply ask less questions. Less overloading, and more space for them.

Give it a go, and let me know how you all get on.

Part 2 of this series to help you discover why your neurodivergent child does things in a certain way… coming up tomorrow.

The after-school meltdown isn’t bad behaviour…

It’s a nervous system that has been working flat out all day and has absolutely nothing left.

Think about what your neurodivergent child manages from the moment they walk through the school gates:

🔊 Constant noise
👀 Visual overwhelm
🧍 Unwritten social rules they have to consciously decode
💡 Harsh lighting
🎒 Transition after transition after transition

All before they’ve done a single piece of work.

By the time they get home, cortisol is through the roof and emotional regulation is basically offline.

This is the witching hour. And it’s not attitude — it’s exhaustion at a neurological level.

The fix isn’t more routine or more structure. It’s less.

Low demand. Quiet space. A snack. Let them tell you when they’re ready.

And honestly? Your nervous system needs the same. You’ve been holding it all together too.

Let’s be honest for a moment, it’s not easy trying to maintain a calm and predictable environment when you have a teen going through exams.

We need to try lower anxiety as much as we can, wherever possible.

One simple way you can help, is to plan out your meals for the week ahead. Ideally with some of their favourite meals in there! Now display it somewhere your teen will easily see it.

This very small act helps your teen feel more in control, lowering anxiety.

Something as simple as knowing ‘what’s for dinner tonight?!’ can do wonders… not just for your teen! Oh, and bonus points for batch cooking!

Do you plan out your meals in advance? When you’ve had a busy stressful day, it really can save an extra headache!

04/03/2026

One simple action to help your anxiety during exams, is to keep an eye on what you are watching on your tv or your phone.

If you love horror and scary films or programmes, try and avoid these in the lead up or during exams, or a big event.

A relaxed calm brain retains information much more easily, helps you sleep better and overall helps you achieve a much better outcome.

Time for a poll! Are you a horror scary movie fan?

This may be a hard one to take on board… but hear me out!

For all those parents with teens going through exams, demands are high on our teens, especially for neurodivergent children.

Make things easier for them to process everything, by letting something slide. Do we really need them to keep tidying up after themselves and add more pressure right now?

It may drive you insane (I hear you, honestly I do!) but just for the time being, let one small demand go… ease the pressure.

Save this as a reminder and share with fellow mums who may appreciate.

When you are running on empty, pushing through exhaustion and putting everyone else first… pause for a few moments.

Choosing time out for you isn't selfish. It's survival. When you're rested, everything else becomes clearer.

The overwhelm softens. The decisions become easier. You show up as the person you actually want to be — not the exhausted,
short-tempered version you barely recognise.

Even just 10 minutes out can do wonders (let’s start small!) find somewhere quiet, away from the chaos, distractions and tech.

Read, take a walk, go for a run, do some yoga, knitting, crafting, close your eyes…

And breathe.

What one thing will you take time out for today? Let’s share and inspire 🫶🏻

The sheer mental load our children carry every day, is A LOT!… especially for neurodivergent teens building up to GCSE’s.

Something has to give in order to free up capacity for them to deal with the additional heavy burden of exams.

It doesn’t have to be massive, but maybe we as parents can free something up to give a little slack, one less nag to give them some breathing space.

Are you going through exams with your teen right now? It’s a really testing time, BUT, if you’d like some support… I’m here.

As a mum of a neurodivergent teen and working with schools and children, I totally understand what it’s like.

And that’s why I want to help guide you and your family along the way.

✨Drop me a DM if you’d like to learn more on how I can help.

🌱 Keep going. You’re doing amazing 🫶🏻

No matter how much you try and support your teen during GCSE’s, it’s new for everyone, and knowing the best way to help without the nags, arguments and fallouts is exhausting.

Supporting neurodivergent teens requires fostering a safe, understanding environment and there are some simple strategies to help your teen cope with the pressure and stress during this time.

⚡️Predictability: Once your child knows what they need to do and what will happen, this lowers anxiety. Create a study plan, with short powerful sessions of revision and scheduled breaks and rewards.

⚡️Mindfulness and Grounding: Help stop those racing thoughts whizzing around by taking a few moments to identify things around them through their senses and deep breathing techniques

⚡️Get out in nature (even in the rain!)
Stretching, walking and exercise helps release tension

⚡️Eating healthy nutritional snacks and meals helps power up the brain and mind

I’ve worked with many schools and families of neurodivergent children, and can’t express how wonderful it is to see the transition after working with them.

Once you learn how to help your teen build their confidence, lower anxiety and find real tools which are built in a way to specifically help their neurodivergent brilliance, the pressure pot will calm.

I’ve built a supportive, neurodivergent-friendly membership for parents of exam-aged children, designed to reduce anxiety and stress for both parents and children,
while providing practical tools and community support.

A little taster of just some of the topics we will cover include:

✨Managing guilt
✨Mistakes and Resilience
✨Teen life v’s anxiety
✨Overwhelm
✨Identifying behaviours and signals

Doors will open soon, and as a special treat… there’s an early bird exclusive VIP 1:1 session for the first 5 sign ups.

Don’t miss out, comment ‘EARLYBIRD’ to be the first in line when doors open.
