Today is World Mental Health Day, a crucial reminder to prioritise mental well-being for everyone. At Mumby's Live-in Care, we believe that mental health is just as important as physical health.
For our clients, live-in care plays a vital role in keeping minds engaged and spirits lifted. We're incredibly proud that our commitment to fighting loneliness was recognised this year, when we were awarded Highly Commended for Reducing Social Isolation at the Stars of Social Care Awards 2025!
By providing dedicated companionship, encouraging socialisation, and supporting participation in hobbies and community activities, we actively combat loneliness and promote cognitive stimulation, key pillars for maintaining good mental health. Staying in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by familiarity, also significantly reduces anxiety and promotes emotional well-being.
But our commitment extends to our incredible team too! We know that caring for others can be demanding, which is why we aim to create a supportive environment where everyone feels valued, heard, and supported. We believe that by looking after our team's mental health, we empower them to provide the best possible care.
