Today at Bridge House Care Home we say a heartfelt farewell to a truly special member of our family – Sue 💖

For an incredible 10 years, Sue has been part of our journey in so many ways… as a relative, a valued member of our Riverly community, and a much-loved member of staff. Her kindness, warmth and infectious smile have brought so much joy to everyone around her 🌟

An absolute ray of sunshine ☀️ Sue, you will be deeply missed by residents, families and the whole team. Your care, compassion and dedication have made a lasting difference, and we are so grateful for everything you’ve given to Bridge House 💕

As you begin this exciting new chapter, we wish you many wonderful holidays ✈️🌴 and precious time spent with your husband ❤️

✨ Monthly Languages Café – A Visit to the Philippines 🇵🇭💛

What a truly special day at Bridge House as our Monthly Languages Café took us on a beautiful journey to the Philippines!

A huge thank you to Amy for hosting and to our wonderful team and Philippines community who supported her in showcasing the rich and vibrant culture of her home country. 💐

We enjoyed an amazing programme filled with traditional dress, music and dance, language sharing, and the most incredible selection of delicious Filipino food 🍽️🎶

The smiles said it all, 😊
and to top it off we even had our very own little Miss Philippines! 👑💖

Moments like these bring us together, celebrating culture, connection and community in the most joyful way. 🌈

It’s that time again… everyone’s favourite day of the week……. music with Ben! 🎤🎸

Our talented musician Ben brings his wonderful performances all around the home, making sure everyone can enjoy the magic of live music wherever they are 💕 Bistro concerts to Bedroom, you might even get serenaded while in the hair salon! 😊

From toe-tapping tunes to heartfelt singalongs, his visits fill Bridge House with joy, laughter, and plenty of smiles 😊🎶

🎶 Wish Wednesday at Bridge House 🎶🇫🇷

Today we made a special wish come true for a small group of ladies who have expressed an interest in French songs 💕

Relaxing in our beautiful indoor garden space 🌿, we created a calming and joyful atmosphere filled with wonderful French melodies and singalongs with our accordion player playing French cafe and well known French singalong tunes 🪗 ✨
It was so heartwarming to see the smiles, hear singing, and share such a meaningful moment together 😊

Moments like these truly show the power of music and the importance of personal wishes 🎶💖

A trip to Farmoor on a day like today felt just like a visit to the seaside 🌊☀️

Pulling up to the shimmering blue water, with the sunshine dancing across the calm surface, was simply beautiful 💙

We enjoyed morning drinks and delicious home-baked treats 🍰☕ while taking in the peaceful waterside views—such a perfect way to relax and unwind.

It was especially meaningful for our gentlemen, who share a love of sailing ⛵️ and the sea. This outing brought back wonderful memories, particularly for Graham, whose lifelong passion began when he joined the Navy as a young man ⚓️💭

🍀 St Patrick’s Day at Bridge House Care Home 🍀

We had a wonderful day celebrating St Patrick’s Day here at Bridge House! 🇮🇪

The highlight of the day was welcoming back our favourite visitors, Viv O'Gara Irish Dancers, who put on a fantastic performance. The music, energy and beautiful dancing had everyone smiling, clapping and tapping along! 💚

In the afternoon our Irish Bar opened, where residents enjoyed a lively singalong with a little tipple of Irish cream and some delicious Irish whiskey cake. It was the perfect way to continue the celebrations together. 🍰🥃🎶

A brilliant day filled with music, laughter and a touch of Irish charm!

Mondays at Bridge House start with a little fun and movement! 🎈🎾 Our residents enjoyed a lively game of balloon tennis for , getting everyone smiling, stretching and moving together.

After the excitement of the morning, we also take time to slow the pace after the weekend with some meaningful one-to-one activities. These special moments give us the chance to spend quality time together and focus on what each person enjoys most. 💙

Joyce especially loved her one-to-one trip into town for a coffee, enjoying a change of scenery and a lovely catch-up over a warm drink. ☕😊 It’s these simple moments that bring so much joy.
