McTimoney in Florence! We were pleased to be represented at the recent Association of Italian Chiropractors meeting as part of a Carrick seminar in beautiful surroundings in Florence, Italy. There was a lot of interest in our Master of Chiropractic programme, especially our Madrid campus and it was good to catch up with students and alumni.

Manchester clinic award! We are pleased to announce that the Royal College of Chiropractors has recognised our Manchester community clinic for the Clinical Management Quality Mark. The CMQM recognises high levels of clinical governance, including patient outcome measurement and patient satisfaction scores. Presented at the Royal College AGM in London, and now in pride of place at the Manchester Clinic, this now means that our clinic in Manchester mirrors our clinic in Abingdon for receiving not only the Clinical Management Quality Mark, but also the patient Partnership Quality Mark. Well done to everyone!

Beautiful weather in Madrid! What a great time to visit our Madrid campus to teach the students across all years and to hear how they are settling in to our new expanded premises. Also an opportunity to drop in to the new clinic and say hello to clinic interns and clinic supervisors. Such a lovely vibrant atmosphere - perhaps the weather helps!

McTimoney at Royal College! Staff from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic took part in the inaugural meeting of the Royal College of Chiropractors Education Faculty which took place in London at the Royal College of Physicians. As Fellows and Members of this new faculty, we are pleased to be part of the development of the profession ensuring the quality standards of education for the chiropractors of the future!

More staff joined us for the main meeting where a packed hall of chiropractors listened to a wide range of external speakers on the important topics of the day. A great opportunity to network across the profession!

Ireland MChiro programme has started! We are really pleased to announce that our fifth campus has opened on the island of Ireland with a small cohort of pioneer students who are committed to be the chiropractors of the future! Based at the Ulster University Magee Campus in Derry/Londonderry, our Master of Chiropractic programme is already accredited by the General Chiropractic Council. Open to all students wherever they live, our Chiropractic programme is designed around working professionals who need to continue to work while they study and understands the pressures of work/life balance and reducing travel as far as possible.

When asked how to describe their first weekend, the students said: Welcoming…Fun…Approachable…Professional…Great teaching team…Sense of community…Exciting opportunity…and Happy to be paving the way!

A New Year begins! This weekend saw the beginning of term for our Master of Chiropractic students in Manchester, on the programme that is designed for working professionals who want to change career. Our new year one cohort had their induction and then their first lecture from the Principal. Smiling faces as they start on their journey to becoming a chiropractor!

Champagne reception! After the ceremony the celebrations began, with representation from across the profession and education, including from the General Chiropractic Council, the Royal College of Chiropractors and the professional associations. Importantly, the staff and students of the College, together with some of Christina's long-standing patients, all of whom had been part of this journey were also able to celebrate with champagne and afternoon tea! A wonderful ending to an amazing day.

OBE Investiture! The McTimoney College of Chiropractic is pleased to announce that Professor Christina Cunliffe, Principal of the College, attended her investiture in a ceremony at Windsor Castle yesterday and received her Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) from Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal, Princess Anne. This high honour was awarded in recognition of her outstanding services to healthcare education, with the last 25 years dedicated to widening access to the education of chiropractors in the UK and around the world.

Ready for clinic! A new year dawns and it's time for our latest clinic interns the start on the final leg of their chiropractic journey. The students have already spent four years getting ready for this moment when they can put into practice everything they have learnt with real patients in our community clinics in both Abingdon and Manchester. Congratulations to all, because we know it has not been easy - but you've made it!
