A sports massage can be considered a deep tissue massage, which is suitable for anyone regardless if they take part in sport or not.

'Deep tissue' means the therapist can reach the deeper layers of muscle effectively and safely, through the use of specific techniques.

Techniques aim to break down adhered muscle fibres and connective tissue (or fascia), improve blood flow, help to remove toxins and aid in the healing process.

Dull aches, muscle pains, and sports injuries can all cause a negative effect not only on our body, but on our mental health too.

Treatment with Myofascial Dry Cupping helps us let go of the pain and tension caused by our injuries which can have a positive impact on our mind.

People typically consult an Osteopath (such as myself) to relieve pain or return to their normal daily activities after injury.

However, Osteopathy can also be used as preventative, much in the same way one would visit a dentist to reduce the likelihood of requiring a filling, occasional check-ups with an osteopath allows potential problems to be detected and treated before they become an issue.

Osteopathy isn't just for professional athletes, or people recovering from serious injuries.

If you have a physical hobby (such as dancing), you'll most likely be putting more stress on your body than most people.

General aches and pains may be common, but they can slow down and limit you in the short time, and develop in the long term.

Seeing an Osteopath such as myself can help ensure your body stays at its optimal level of recovery, and doesn't go beyond its critical breaking point leading to injury.
