Red Nose Day at Stowford House!

Our amazing staff went all out with their costumes, bringing smiles and laughter to everyone. We spent the day playing games, sharing plenty of fun moments, and most importantly, enjoying time together with our wonderful residents!
Our bake sale helped us raise money for a great cause 🍰🎉

A big thank you to everyone who supported us and to our fantastic team for making the day so special.🙌

We had such a lovely morning with the children from Carswell School 💛

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed spending time chatting, playing games, and painting Easter pictures together 🎨🐣

We were also treated to a special surprise when one of the children delighted us all with her beautiful singing 🎶✨

We kicked off Mother's Day with smiles, fresh flower scents, and the sweet melodies of music filling the air. Our residents were thrilled to spend time with their daughters and sons, making memories as we all celebrated this special day together. 💐✨

A special moment was shared by Mary and her son Brian, as they enjoyed a lovely glass of sherry, bringing proud smiles and warm hearts. 🥂💖

A lovely trip out to Millets Farm today! 🌿🐰

The weather didn’t stop us and we had a great time exploring the beautiful Easter decorations out. Pam and Ann especially loved the cute bunnies and the china items, and they had lots of fun trying on different types of hats! 👒

To finish our visit, we enjoyed a warm drink and a sweet slice of cake to boost our energy before heading home. Such a lovely day out together! ☕🍰✨

✨ A very special morning at Stowford House ✨

Today we were delighted to welcome the wonderful children from Manor Nursery to spend time with our residents.

We began with a lovely story about China and dragons 🐉, where the children played games and engaged beautifully throughout the storytelling, followed by a creative craft session making beautiful Chinese fans.

It was truly heartwarming to see the children and residents connect so naturally, sharing smiles, laughter, and already forming such special bonds. 💛

A heartfelt thank you to Martine from for organising this meaningful visit and bringing so much joy into our Home. We can’t wait to see you again at the end of the month!

A lovely morning at Stowford house!☺️

We were delighted to welcome the Vicar of Shippon, who delivered a heartfelt service for our residents.
We prayed for everyone at Stowford house and the Vicar spent time afterwards chatting with the residents, which meant so much to them.❤️
We are looking forward to seeing her next month☺️

Such a lovely visit to the Friends of Shippon 💙
The warm welcome we received was truly amazing, and it was wonderful to see how pleased everyone was with the gift from Stowford House, something for them all to share and enjoy together.😊

We also had the opportunity to visit Didcot Community Hospital, continuing our commitment to supporting and connecting with our local community.😎

It was also a pleasure to meet the inspiring speaker from Thames Valley Air Ambulance during a visit to Friends of Shippon and hear more about the incredible work they do.

Thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome! We’re already looking forward to our next visit! ✨

This morning we had a wonderful time exploring interactive games on the new projector.
It features a variety of engaging activities, including fun games, quizzes, sound effects, and vibrant backgrounds.😊

Barbara, Molly, Audrey, and Ann especially loved the car racing game, enjoying some friendly competition with one another. By the end, everyone’s laughter filled the room, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere.❤️

It’s a special piece of equipment that stimulates cognitive skills while also encouraging movement and coordination, learning and exercise combined with lots of fun!💪😎

🐎🏮 Chinese New Year – Year of the Horse 🏮🐎

We celebrated the Year of the Horse at Stowford House with Chinese music and dancing, performed by our team for our residents! Everyone enjoyed getting involved and dressing up for the theme.

As it was Pancake Day too, we also shared pancakes together – with the traditional sugar and lemon topping! 🥞🍋

Therapy dog visit 🐾✨
Tanzy came to see us at Stowford House and our residents absolutely loved her.

She’s always welcomed with big smiles and open hands 🤍 Treated like a true princess, Tanzy enjoyed some biscuits, played ball games, and then visited all our residents.

Animal therapy is so relaxing and has a beautiful way of bringing back precious memories. Denise was especially captured, she loved stroking Tanzy’s soft fur 🥰
