✨ Meet Tracy our new therapist ✨

Tracy is a Play Therapist who works with children and young people aged 4 - 11 & beyond.

Play therapy helps children to explore and express their feelings, whilst trying to make sense of their life experiences. Often children struggle to put their thoughts and feelings into words. Play Therapy enables children to communicate in other ways, through the natural process of play.

Tracy offers support around the follow and more;

• Struggling to concentrate
• Nightmares or disturbed sleep
• At risk of being excluded from school
• Suffered a trauma
• Suffered emotional, physical or sexual abuse
• Suffering due to parental separation
• Anxiety, stress or phobias
• Bereavement or loss
• Withdrawn or often unhappy
• Autistic tendencies
• Ill or disabled
• Difficulties making friends
• Regular falling out with peers/siblings
• Bullying others or the victim of bullying
• Displays of inappropriate behaviours
• Doesn’t play

Today, and every other day, we want men to know we offer a safe space to offload, share, explore, feel vulnerable, ask for help.....

✨ New therapist ✨

My name is Marina, I have worked within NHS mental health services, for 13 years. I have worked with young people and families, in providing mental health support, for individuals and families.

I have a post graduate diploma in systemic family practice ,which means I can work therapeutically with families and couples. I also have a qualification in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). This therapy is helpful for both anxiety and depression, as well as other mental health issues.

I am looking forward to start offering therapy from Accrington Therapy Centre. Therapy I will be offering:

✨ Therapy for couples and families

✨ Support for people experiencing anxiety, depression and other mental health issues who want to learn new skills and coping techniques.
