Myself and Paul are always proud to support our local branch of the RBL, of which I'm the treasurer. It's our AGM followed by our Autumn Social, this Sunday (12th October), at 1pm, at Ossy Con. It would be lovely to see some of you outside of our working day. 🙂Ps we are always looking for new members too!!

Always an honour to support our local RBL branch of Church & Oswaldtwistle.

VJ Day: The moment World War Two ended.
The world had been at war for six long years.
But on the 15 August 1945, Victory over Japan Day - or VJ Day - the guns finally fell silent.
The fighting stopped and people across the world breathed a sigh of relief.
World War II was over.
Today our RBL Branch will commemorate the 80th VJ anniversary with a short service at Oswaldtwistle War Memorial at 1pm. Tomorrow the date will be celebrated alongside Friends of Rhyddings Park with a wonderful afternoon of entertainment with the community. The sacrifices of so many will not be forgotten.

This Sunday 13th July, between 1pm and 3pm, we have the honour in attending the East Lancashire Hospice - Sunflower Celebration Event, which offers families a way to celebrate the lives of those who have died, whilst raising money for this fabulous cause, that's available locally. We are honoured to sponsor and support this beautiful appeal that allows people to come together, reflect, and celebrate the lives of those they love. With the current status of the world right now, we are proud to be attending a short service at the cenotaph in Oswaldtwistle (Rhyddings Street) at 1pm, tomorrow Monday 23rd June, (Armed Forces Day) for the raising of the flag as we pay tribute and remember all our armed force service personnel currently serving at this time. Anyone is welcome to join us.
