What do I eat as a new mum ( breastfeeding) to keep me going and recover well from birth 🌱🌱🌱
EXAMPLES
Healthy fats & protein
🌱eggs
🌱avocado
🌱meat
🌱olive oil
🌱Greek yogurt
🌱chia seeds
🌱offals( liver, liver pate, black pudding)
🌱butter
🌱cheese
🌱hummus
Plus veggies & fruit, wholesome carbs : rye / sourdough bread.
I also make broth on regular basis from either organic or free range chicken, duck legs or beef ( anything on the bone ). From that I make soups most days.
I still cannot believe the food in hospital I was offered, was mostly carbs which means I was hungry again within an hour of eating. I couldn’t wait to get home ☺️
It’s impossible to recover and have the energy to look after your newborn. Be prepared and take your own food or ask someone to either cook for you or get you some healthier option of ready cooked meals.
