The people who live with us had a fantastic time interacting with everyone and enjoyed More...Connection.

We all had so much fun during the visit, and hope to see them again soon.

Our friends over at Carmel Lodge invited us to join their culture day - and we accepted!

The people living with us headed over where the team had put out some delicious tapas and sangria. We danced to Spanish songs (and British party classics, like Okey Cokey).

Everyone had a great time enjoying More...Socialising!

We are piloting new clubs here at Hope Green, More... Connection is very important to the people who live with us.

Last week we tried out baking club, which was a resounding hit! Full of fun and laughter. We made some delicious chocolate chip biscuits - we had some biscuit cutters but we used More...Creativity and made our own shapes! We had an elephant, letters, and logs to name a few.

Looking forward to next baking club, any suggestions what we should bake?

Our fortnightly visits from Andy and Colin are so beneficial to the people who live with us.

Its a chance for them and the staff to connect and share smiles and laughter, whilst also reminiscing with the power of music. We cannot be more grateful to Andy for his dedication to the happiness of the people who live with us.

Last week was our fortnightly visit to our local dementia group.
We had tea and biscuits, sang some songs, did a French word quiz and finished up with some arts and crafts. Lots of smiles and laughter.

Last week was our Val's 90th Birthday!

We celebrated with a tea party in the activity room, sharing cake and tea with friends and staff stopped by to wish her Happy Birthday too.

Some fantastic progress with our Gardeners today at Hope Green!

Lots of de-weeding and planted some beautiful new plants to brighten the garden up for the Summer, whilst enjoying More...Fresh Air. The Club were very happy with the end result, as you can see by the smiles on their faces.

We went over to see our friends at Carmel Lodge, and enjoyed some refreshing drinks on the patio with music and More...Fresh Air, a little boogie in the sunshine, and finished off with a More...Thinking TV theme quiz.

The lovely people living with us love making More...Connections through More...Socialising.

We took some of the people who live with us on the Mary Sunley Canal Boat.

We went from Nelson's Pit Carpark, to Marple for fish and chips on the boat and then back to Poynton. The sun was shining, there were lots ducks and ducklings on the water, people waving from the tow path, the views were amazing and we saw sheep and cows.

All in all, a fantastic day out enjoying More...Fresh Air.

We celebrated National Cream Tea Day with our own Cream Tea Party.

The people that live with us enjoyed victoria sponge, lemon drizzle, mini coffee cakes, carrot cakes, scones with clotted cream and jam, all served on China plates. They were blown away by how wondefully decorated the room was.

Everyone smiled and laughed throughout the morning, and that is what makes our job amazing!

We were part of Poynton Arts Festival, where we hosted the brilliant Andy!

The people who live with us love when Andy visits, with this being an extra special performance for our showcase of the Arts Festival.
Everyone showed off their best singing and dance moves. We had a great time and enjoyed More...Socialising!

We held our first Summer Solstice Festival here at Hope Green.

Our Flower hoop was handmade by our amazingly talented Lifestyle Assistant! We embraced the old traditions of Summer Solstice, with music playing, games, crafts, and delicious food and drink.

In the afternoon the festivities continued with the brilliant Ben Eagle singing toe tapping classics with some modern songs mixed in, and a fantastic magician showing the people who live with us close hand magic.

It was a very special day, and it was lovely that some of the families could join us too. The rain didn't stop us and we continued to party!
