I'm enjoying using EMDR alone or in combination with CBT with my clients. EMDR helps to process the touchstone memories where beliefs changed. Here is a testimonial about EMDR by Francis, Chorley:

Therapy for me has been such a rollercoaster experience but in the positive way. I came to Anna in search of anything or something and during the 2 months I've been working alongside her, I've learned how to understand my behaviours and thinking patterns that were detrimental and only causing me and others around me harm. My anxiety and depression has been the best it's been thanks to Anna teaching me ways to cope. It's very important to remember that you have to do this and that results won't come straight away but in the long run it's beneficial and literally can change your life.

The EDMR helped me alot more than what I thought. It's hard and it's meant to really make you dig deep subconsciously and to uproot the beginnings of unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviour and negatives rules we live our lives in. Putting to bed all the traumatic negative experiences you've had in your life and choosing it to not affect your present life and come to terms with the person you want to be by directing your attention to somewhere else - Chloe

I was recommended to Anna by a friend and was a little apprehensive about making the call as I had reservations on how CBT therapy could help me. I am so glad I did make that initial call. I felt like Anna understood me, helped me to identify the reasons behind my anxiety and gave me all the tools I needed to be able to get through each day without battling with my mind and feeling bad about myself. I feel clearer, more focused but most importantly I know my own mind, my triggers and how to deal with them. I contacted Anna after years of anxiety and ocd type checking, I had been putting off therapy for a long time as I was nervous and thought I didn't have any 'real problems.'
Anna made me feel at ease right from the get go, she helped me understand where these feelings were coming from and how to tackle them, I am now well equipped with many techniques to help me when the anxiety tries to creep back in!
Looking back I was never truly enjoying myself because I was letting the worry take over however since therapy I have managed to start my hobbies again, I no longer dread leaving the house and I am living in the moment.
Everyone has noticed a difference in me and I can't thank you enough Anna! Would recommend you in a heartbeat!

As I had not had therapy before, I was a little nervous to start with and didn’t really know what to expect, but Anna immediately put me at ease. She explained everything really well and always made me feel like I was in charge. The sessions with Anna really helped me understand what causes my anxiety and identify the triggers. I came to Anna after struggling with anxiety for years, since the first appointment with Anna I felt at ease and I was able to open up to her. The sessions really opened my eyes to how the brain deals with stress and anxiety. She gave me coping mechanisms which have built my confidence and I am now at a stage where I can manage my anxiety each day continuing different tasks at ease which life may throw at me.
