✨ The Lion’s Gate Portal is open ✨

Every year on 8/8, the Sun in fiery Leo aligns with the star Sirius, creating a powerful energetic doorway for abundance, alignment, and soul growth.

This time last year, I went to a Lion’s Gate Portal event in and wrote down exactly how I wanted my life to look within a year.

On that list?
🌟 Have my own yoga studio
🌟 Be my own boss

I had no clue how I’d make it happen. I just wrote it, felt it, and trusted the process.

Fast forward to today! My studio has been thriving since April, and I get to wake up every day doing what I love.

Tonight, I’ll be back at a Lion’s Gate event , and ready to dream even bigger. Because if the last year has taught me anything, it’s that when you align with what lights you up, the Universe meets you there.

Starting this Thursday | 5:30–6:30pm

A weekly space just for you, Mama to breathe, move, rest, and reconnect. Whether you’re on the journey of pregnancy or navigating the early days of motherhood, this class offers a safe, supportive environment to nurture your body and mind.

Each session will include:
✨ Gentle yoga postures to release tension and support your changing body
✨ Breathwork to calm the nervous system and support emotional wellbeing
✨ Pelvic floor awareness and core connection
✨ Restorative relaxation to help you truly rest and reset
✨ A chance to connect with other local mums in a warm, welcoming space

Meet the beautiful Nicola who will be guiding a special pre & postnatal yoga class every Thursday night 5:30-6:30pm. ✨✨

‘Hi, I’m Nicola.

I found yoga when I was feeling pretty disconnected from myself, physically and mentally. It’s been an absolute life line and has prompted an interest in lots of movement styles which I often weave into practice.

I love variety and teach vinyasa, yin, restorative, pre post natal yoga classes.

In class, expect me to promote playfulness and curiosity. I encourage embodiment through intuitive exploration, knowing that this will look different to each and every one of you.’

We cannot wait to have you in the studio Nicola.

We are heading into our 3rd Beginners Yogi Club- 4 week foundational series.

Whether you’re brand new to yoga or returning to your mat after a long break, this 4-week series will help you build a strong foundation in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Each week, we’ll explore essential yoga postures, simple breathwork techniques, and gentle movement to help you gain confidence, improve flexibility, and connect with your body. You’ll also learn how to adapt poses to suit your unique needs, making yoga accessible and sustainable for you.

This series is perfect if you want to:
•Learn the basics of yoga step by step
•Build strength and mobility safely
•Develop a calming breath and mind body connection
•Create a routine that supports your wellbeing
•Learn a little about yoga philosophy

No experience or flexibility is required. Just a willingness to show up for yourself. By the end of the 4 weeks, you’ll feel confident moving through a beginner friendly yoga flow and ready to join regular classes with ease.

When- Monday 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th August
Time- 7:15-8:15pm
Where- Flow Yoga & Wellness Studio
Cost- £44 for the series.

✨ Meet the teacher ✨

We’re so excited to welcome Healthier to the Flow Yoga & Wellness team!

“Hi, I’m Heather and I’ve been a student of yoga for 4 years, and a teacher for 1 year. I was drawn to yoga during a period of ill health, and the comfort that it brought to me during that most difficult time in my life had a lasting impact. So much so that I felt compelled to learn as much as I could about it, which led me to train to become a Yoga practitioner. 

I’m trained in Vinyasa, Yin, Nidri, and am currently delving into the fascinating topic of active breathwork which you may find weaved into my classes.

I would describe my teaching style as explorative, empowering and flexible. I am very passionate about ensuring yoga and movement in general is accessible to all and I believe there is a place for every individual in my yoga classes.

Yin is my all time favourite medium of yoga. Stillness sounds like it should be easy, but it can actually be quite challenging! It forces us to sit with ourselves and face the things we’ve been avoiding. But this is often when you find out the most about yourself.”

Do you see a new addition to the timetable?

Yes! We have added a Sunday Evening Yin Practice that will be guided by the wonderful .moves 🫶🏽

This addition will be trialled for the month of August and hopefully become a permanent class on our timetable so come and join Heather for a session to melt the week away and completely reset before a new week 🫶🏽

This week, we will continue the ‘bring a friend’ to class when you book a space. Share the cost with a friend or gift it to them. Just send me a DM and I’ll add a friend to the class 🙏🏽

✨Wellness Wednesday ✨
Sometimes we (I) just need a little reminder to slow down and reset bringing a bit of balance into the week.

Here are 3 simple ways to reset your nervous system today 👇🏼

1. Breathe (Softly, Slowly)
Try this: Inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4. A few quiet rounds of box breathing can do wonders. Let it be gentle, don’t force it and try make it a meditative breath.

2. Move your body.
Unroll your mat, or just find a quiet space.
Flow through:
• Child’s Pose
• Cat-Cow
• Legs-Up-the-Wall
• Seated Forward Fold
No pressure, no performance, just you and your breath.

3. Give Your Mind a Break
Step away from the noise for an hour.
Put your phone down. Make a tea, journal, stare out the window. Let your mind exhale, too.

✨ It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be real and feel good. You deserve these moments.
