Did you know that a 500 kg horse needs 25 to 30 litres of water per day? In hot weather or during intense exercise, this can go up to a whopping 100 litres! 😱

Electrolytes play a key role: they help maintain fluid balance and prevent dehydration. But beware! If a horse loses too much fluid and electrolytes, its thirst mechanism may weaken… and it might stop drinking altogether! 💧

1. Start by weighing – not all mashes have the same weight, so measuring is knowing.
2. Add lukewarm water – be mindful of the correct water-to-feed ratio.
