This year's main flu and covid vaccination clinics start next week (children's flu has already started). You should have received a text reminder and booking link, or been contacted by one of our staff by now, but if you haven't or have missed it, please contact reception to book these in.

The Covid vaccination criteria are different from last year's campaign and only the over 75s or immunocompromised are eligible. For more details about which jabs you should get please click here:

We have a new GP start with us this month. Dr Roisin O'Neill trained as a GP locally and is also working at some nearby practices as well as ourselves. She will be working with us all day on a Wednesday, in addition to our existing doctors.

As you will probably have seen Chicken Pox vaccination will be added to the childhood immunisations from January to be given the same time as the MMR vaccine. It is very important tat children complete their vaccination program and if you think you child may have missed one please contact us to check if they do require it. This month's notice board is full of information about acid reflux, a very common problem which can usually be managed with the help of over the counter medication available from the pharmacist. If you are finding that,

lifestyle changes and pharmacy medicines are not helping your heartburn

you have heartburn most days

you also have other symptoms, like food getting stuck in your throat, frequently being sick, or losing weight for no reason

then please come and see us as you might need more investigation or treatment.

Just to let you know that, after a bit of a break, we again have a mental health practitioner working at the surgery. Rachel is with us all-day on a Wednesday and can help with low-level mental health advice and support. This is not for patient needing more intensive interventions, however if you feel this might be a service that could help you please discuss this with one of our clinical staff to arrange an appointment..

This year's GP Patient survey was published recently. This is the independent survey of all GP surgeries in England. We are again pleased that we did very well on overall satisfaction, with 94% of patients describing their overall experience as good or very good. This puts us in the top five of practices in Warwickshire.

We are, however, especially pleased all respondents found our receptionists and admin teams helpful. Our staff work very hard to try to help our patients and it is nice to see that this is appreciated.

Just advanced warning that the breast screening team will be based at the front of our building from 22nd August. If you are eligible for screening you should be notified by the screening team. We don't manage this service, however if you think you ought to have been called and haven't been we have a number you can call. For more info on the screening program please click here:
