14 months ago I left a care company and went into solo private care. Over the months, lots of hard work, long, tiresome days, funny days, heartbreaking days, soul lifting days, I can honestly say I wouldn't look back. I have a LOVELY set of clients and not only my clients their lovely families too. Built up some fantastic relationships/bonds. To be trusted with loved ones precious last days/weeks/months or years on this planet is an honour and a privilege, to help make their lives that much easier and their families. To hear such wonderful stories of their lives and memories the ones they cherish, the ones that make them sad, but happy at the same time, when they're missing there loved ones
, giving them a hug, or holding their hand, making them a good old cuppa tea! Taking my girls to work to cheer them up!
Every day is different, Dementia is a cruel cruel disease, but u still see the person there, u must ! Somewhere deep down that person's still there. I enjoy it all, low and high, I absolutely couldn't do anything else β€οΈ
