CARD OF THE WEEK ☀️
The Sun ☀️
Ah, the joy and freedom of a beautiful and warm, carefree summers day. We can all relate to that feeling I think. It’s about gratitude, love, blessings, positivity, fulfilment and basking in the glow of the radiant light.
The Sun is the 19th of the 21 Major Arcana cards and as such appears in the final stages of our growth journey, after battling our demons and learning so much, now we move out from the illusory half light of the Moon into the full light of the Sun and all its glory.
Traditional interpretation:
Sometimes known as the ‘Yes’ card, the Sun is a beacon of positivity and success. Expect good things you’ve been waiting for. It represents the beauty and majesty of life, optimism, attainment and vitality.
My take;
We all deserve our days in the sun. This positive change into joy and optimism is fuelled by the fire energy of the Sun. It could be a job promotion, finding new love, passing exams with flying colours or overcoming personal or health difficulties. No matter what, it’s going to be good !
The Sun encourages us to be joyful and grateful when success arrives and to find hidden blessings in tough times. It reminds us that celebrating what we have is the truest meaning of success.
In a reading:
The Sun cards heralds good fortune and success, however, depending on its position, it might also call us to a reality check if we are overly optimistic or overconfident in our situation.
