Due to the current high number of flu cases in our hospitals and the local community, from today, Tuesday 9 December, all patients and visitors are advised to wear face masks in clinical areas as a temporary measure to reduce the risk of transmission.

Masks and hand sanitisers will be available on each ward at Frimley Park and Wexham Park hospitals for visitors to use. In addition, our staff working in clinical wards will wear fluid-resistant surgical masks to help protect themselves, our patients and visitors.

At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month – we will remember them.
The Armistice, an agreement to end the fighting of the First World War as a prelude to peace negotiations, began at 11am on 11 November 1918.
Armistice is Latin for to stand (still) arms.

Remembrance Day is dedicated to honouring and remembering all those who have served and sacrificed in times of conflict, from the great wars to modern-day operations. This includes not only those who have gone before us and made the ultimate sacrifice, but also those who are still with us and continue to be affected by the physical and mental scars of war.

Today we reflect on the ultimate sacrifice made by members of our Armed Forces.

Their commitment to protecting and serving our communities will forever be remembered with gratitude, and their legacy of courage continues to inspire us all.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them 💙
