Martin Spooner is part of our Social Prescribing team. An NHS social prescriber, also known as a social prescribing link worker, is a healthcare professional who connects individuals with non-medical support to address their health and wellbeing. They help people access community-based activities, groups, and services that can improve their physical and mental health, such as social activities, exercise classes, or support groups.

Zoe Cobb joined the PCN team following her valuable contributions during the Covid Programme. Since then, she has become an integral part of our team, playing a key role in supporting much of the work we do. Zoe brings a positive, can-do attitude (even volunteered to wear the Flamingo outfit!) and keeps everyone's spirits up.

This powerful and moving quilt was lovingly created by people in Hampshire who have lost someone to su***de. It features 72 hand-crafted squares—each one a tribute to a life lost, and a message of remembrance, hope, and connection.

Currently on display at St Andrew’s Church, Aldershot until 11th July, the quilt can be viewed Monday to Friday, 10am–4pm. It serves as a poignant reminder of the impact of su***de, while raising awareness of the steps we can all take to support one another.

The project is part of the Speak Their Name movement, supported by the Voices Collective, and highlights the healing power of shared stories and community.

Due to the current extreme heat, we have activated our Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) to help protect vulnerable individuals from harm — especially those experiencing rough sleeping.

SWEP ensures that additional support is made available during periods of severe hot, cold, or dangerous weather. This is part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding those most at risk in our community.

If you're concerned about someone sleeping rough, please let us know by calling 01252 398 634, or report online at: www.thestreetlink.org.uk

We’ll continue to monitor the situation closely, and SWEP will remain in place for as long as severe conditions persist.
