I have recently passed my NEBOSH exam and thus I am fully qualified in health and safety, specialising in face fit testing.

During these trying times I will bring a sense of safety into your working environment through thorough face fits tests. For each individual it is between a 30-40 minute allocated time slot ensuring each stage is completed with space to sanitise everything before the next.

Please note, it will only be myself and the other specified individual in a safe spaced environment at any one time.

Face Fit requirements
1. Those who are being face fitted must be clean shaven.
2. Must NOT smoke, have hot beverages or have chewing gum 30 minutes before the test taken.
Unfortunately, failure to comply with the above will lead to a failed test.

1952 - pollution was the cause of why folks had to wear masks back then. I think the terminology used was “Pea Soup” as the fog was thick and dense. Here this photo shows someone using a simple scarf as a face covering. Just goes to show you that you still need to protect yourself at all times

Monday mindfulness - Some more of this being done at the BBC in Glasgow today. I’ve met lots of different folk who work in all departments, from lighting to sound, all who work within a close proximity to each other.

A face mask doesn’t just protect you from any fluids expelled when sneezing - it can also protect you from someone who is breathing and talking standing beside you as you do expel a certain amount of saliva when chatting.

Have a think about your workplace - in order to get back to work quickly and safely, could getting a face fit test done help everyone feel safe working closely to each other?

I was listening to this on the news tonight about the measures being brought in for England - it will now be compulsory to wear a cloth face mask on public transport.

Do you think Scotland will follow? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😷

From 15 June, people in England could be fined for not wearing a covering, the transport secretary says.
