January always feels like a bit of a reset, and the body often needs one too.

I’m noticing a lot of post-Christmas tension just now: shoulders up round the ears, tight jaws, restless sleep, that “back to work” heaviness.

I’m working limited days this month and have a few appointments available over the coming weeks for anyone who feels like their body could do with some proper care.

Massage in January isn’t really a luxury…it’s maintenance.

Last night I found myself back with the fire.

It’s been 13 years since my first firewalk,
10 years since I qualified as a firewalk instructor,
and 8 years since I worked here - yet it never feels like something that’s over.

Fire tending is always an honour.
Not about control, but respect.
Assisting the fire, holding the space, and witnessing people make a brave, conscious choice to walk across hot coals towards something that matters deeply to them.

It’s a reminder that what we’re really invited into is courage, presence, and truth.

Some experiences stay with you for life.
This is one of mine, it was a truly beautiful fire last night, and the full moon completed the scene perfectly . 🔥

So, how did your 2026 start?

Mine involved a lot of gasping and tears (thanks, Stranger Things), and nearly burning down the house thanks to forgotten mulled wine, and supervising a tense stand-off between a python and a curious cat.
Oh, and catching up with some awesome amazing people as well, obviously!!

I worked my first day back in the treatment room on Sunday, and I just wanted to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who came in, and to those who've already booked ahead - it genuinely means more than I can say.

It felt really good to be back doing this work, especially at this time of year. I'm very grateful for the trust, the conversations, and the quiet moments in between 🤍

I'm offering treatments again 🤍

After a bit of time away, it feels right to return to hands-on working, in a calmer more sustainable way.

I'm now working from the lovely Green Tree Remedies Holistic hub in Alexandria, offering massage and facial treatments on a limited basis.

This isn't Purple Turtle 2.0, it's simple me, doing what a I love in a way that fits my life now.

Appointments are currently available on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Detectives are appealing for information following a robbery in Dumbarton on Thursday, 9 October, 2025.

Around 12.55am, a man entered a shop in the Lomondgate Services area and threatened a member of staff, demanding money from the till. Following the incident, he headed off in the direction of Bellsmyre.

The member of staff was uninjured in the incident.

The suspect is white, around 5ft 9 inches in height, medium build. He was wearing a black coloured football top with orange stripes down one sleeve and green stripes down the other, black jogging trousers, a grey beanie hat and wearing a black snood or face covering.

Detective Inspector Pamela Grant said: “We will continue to review relevant CCTV footage from in and around the area for additional information, however, I am appealing to anyone with dash cam or recording equipment to view their footage and pass any relevant images to us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0100 of Thursday, 9 October, 2025. Alternatively, please get in touch with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where you can remain anonymous.
