🌈As reflexologists we want all parents to feel empowered . That’s why our techniques are simple to learn but effective in easing your baby’s discomforts.

In reflexology the whole body is mapped out on your feet. The oesophagus is part of the alimentary canal which connects the throat to the stomach (part of the digestive system), it is a muscular tube lined with mucous membrane.

Stroking down this area on both feet can be effective for calming discomfort from reflux, this occurs when acid from the stomach travels back up the oesophagus.

⭐️your baby’s feet are AMAZING

⭐️At birth your baby’s feet will appear flat because they are born with a fatty pad in the arch area.

⭐️Their foot and leg muscles are not developed enough to support their arches when they first stand.

⭐️The arch does not begin to develop until the age of two, and will not be fully developed until around age six.

⭐️Allowing your baby to walk inside barefoot as much as possible will develop the strength and the grasping action of their toes!

In reflexology we believe the whole of the body is mapped out on the feet, with the side of the foot representing the spine.

In this illustration we have placed the human spine along the side of the foot to show you what we see!

We treat the left side of the spine on the left foot and the right side of the spine on the right foot.

For babies, children and adults it is an effective area for calming the parasympathetic nervous system.
