Dr Tess Laurie and her team from the world council for health,(I was delighted to meet Dr Laurie afterwards and get a copy of her book signed .)
Dr Malcolm Kendrick was a great speaker with his down to earth way of giving his lectures. He is the author of 'The Great Cholesterol con' and 'A Statin Nation' .
A video lecture from Dr Vernon Coleman aka' the old man in a chair ' he was to the point as usual and with dry humour .
Richard Vobes was MC and we often ' ran into' him and the lovely Julia outside at break time but I think he did struggle with Doric !
Met the lovely Donnie from Soakency who did sound medicine and she joined us for dinner one night and was great fun .
I met people from all over the country as well as Ireland and Cyprus all with one thing in common, trying to avoid medication and use food and natural remedies .

Everyone had a story to tell.

Sadly we are told to slap on layers of sunblock .
We all feel so much better when out in the sun , mood lifts ,happy balanced hormones and we are far more cheerful.

However the summer sun has gone so now's the time to take vit D supplements .

Preparing for winter .
Yesterday I decided to start making fermented garlic, great for winter colds and flu. Garlic and honey are the most powerful natural antibacterial and antibiotic foods but put them together and it's a ' super power '.
A bit of an experiment really with one containing honey from a jar from Premnay, and the other using comb honey from my cousin s bees in Finzean . Comb honey contains more nutrients such as pollen and enzymes than the more filtered jar plus it's a natural chewing gum !
Dump supermarket honey as it's processed, blended with' honey' from other far away countries leaving it with little nutritional value.

( Cousin Neil Christie pure raw comb honey can be found at Finzean farm shop- well worth a visit for lunch or cuppa )

This honey thing has given me an idea for another nutrition class!!

This years lavender grown here in a chemical free garden , with a few bunny tails added for extra interest. ( Also grown here )
Lasts for months and months .
Perfect for gifting or your own home now that the garden flowers are almost at an end .
