This is Elian. He’s 16 now, and I am so incredibly proud of him.
There was a time when haircuts felt impossible. The noise, the touch, hands near his ears… it was overwhelming and frightening for him.
Today, he sat calmly and trusted the process.
Seeing how far he has come reminds me that progress doesn’t happen overnight, but it does happen.
He amazes me more than he’ll ever know. 💛

UPDATE – Sensory Swim Times 🎉
We’ve got some really good news!
Our sensory swim sessions have now moved to 12.30pm – 1.30pm every first Sunday of the month 🏊‍♀️
This also means there’s now a 30-minute gap before the next session, so no more rushing, no more stress, and no pressure trying to get your child out of the pool at lightning speed 🙌
Take your time, finish calmly, and leave when your child is ready.
Honestly… happy days all round 💙
As always, these sessions are relaxed, supportive and SEN-friendly.
Next one is 1st Feb 12.30pm -1.30pm 🙌

Due to water damage to the floor at Blackwell community centre , we will be ,for the foreseeable future ,at Newton Community centre instead . The address is 146 Main St, Newton, Alfreton DE55 5TE

What a session!
Another brilliant SENDisco sensory swim today – full of smiles, splashing, laughter and pure joy. It was so much fun that some swimmers really didn’t want to get out! 💦😄
