🎃 The group got stuck into some pumpkin carving fun today — just in time for Halloween! 👻
There were spooky faces, silly smiles, and lots of laughter (and pumpkin guts!) all around.

The group have been getting creative today with lots of Halloween crafts — from pumpkins and ghosts to bats and spider webs! 🕷️🖤

It’s been a fun (and slightly spooky!) afternoon full of laughter, imagination, and plenty of glitter! ✨🎨

🎃 Don’t throw your pumpkins away next weekend! ♻️

did you know there are so many eco-friendly ways to reuse your pumpkins instead of binning them! Here are a few ideas:

🌱 Compost it – Pumpkins break down beautifully and add nutrients back into the soil.
🐿️ Feed the wildlife – Cut them up and leave pieces out for hedgehogs, birds, and squirrels (just make sure they’re free from paint or candles).
🍲 Cook it up – Roast, mash, or make soup, muffins, or curry if you used an edible pumpkin!
🌸 Get creative – Turn the shell into a planter or bird feeder.
🌾 Save the seeds – Dry and plant them in spring for next year’s crop!
🐄 Donate – Local farms and animal sanctuaries often take leftover pumpkins for animal feed.

Small changes like this help reduce waste and protect the planet 🌍💚

We cooked up a delicious buttered chicken curry with rice and naan, made some sweet coconut treats (they were amazing! 😋), and crafted even more diya lamps ready to decorate and paint tomorrow.

Today we’ve been getting creative — making and decorating our own diya lamps, colouring beautiful rangoli patterns, and getting ready for our special Diwali lunch on Wednesday! 🪔🎨🍛

✨ A few fun facts about Diwali:
🌼 Diwali is known as the Festival of Lights and celebrates the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.
🏠 Many people decorate their homes with diyas and colourful rangoli to welcome prosperity and happiness.
🎆 The celebration lasts five days, with each day holding its own special meaning and traditions.
🍬 Sweet treats and gifts are shared with loved ones as a symbol of joy and togetherness.
