REMINDER: Blackwell Pharmacy will be closed Good Friday 18th April and Bank Holiday Monday 21st April. We will be open as usual on Tuesday 22nd April.

Easter is coming next week! Please remember to order your repeat prescriptions early via the Medicines Order Line who will accept prescription requests up to 14 days before the due date (as opposed to the usual 7 days).

What if you've tried all the options available over the counter?

Adults with a long term condition or aged 65 years and over will be able to get the flu + covid vaccine from 3rd October at Blackwell Pharmacy.
You will be able to book an appointment slot online at https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/pharmacies/book-flu-vaccination/ from the 23rd September.

The NHS prescription charge is set to increase to £9.90 per item with effect from 1st May 2024.
A prescription prepayment certificate (PPC) will also increase in price:
£32.05 for 3 months and £114.50 for 12 months.
The HRT prepayment certificate will cost £19.80 for 12 months.
A PPC is the most cost effective way of paying for prescriptions if you have 2 or more items on prescription per month. You can purchase your PPC online at https://www.gov.uk/get-a-ppc
