Abbeyfield South Downs Safe, sociable retirement homes to rent across East Sussex and Kent. Enjoy an independent life. Today, there are hundreds of Abbeyfield properties nationwide.

The Abbeyfield Society was founded by Richard Carr-Gomm in 1956 to alleviate loneliness among older people who were living unsupported and with little contact with others. Some are managed centrally by the National Society, but most are managed by individual independent Abbeyfield member societies. Abbeyfield South Downs is one such society; a merger of former smaller member societies which have joined together to benefit from shared expertise and efficiencies.
