Jumping on the 2016 throwback trend before January’s out.
2016 will always have a special place in my heart.
Induced on my 29th birthday and I became a mummy for the first time.
Back then, I didn’t give a second thought to my forehead lines.
If I’m honest, I barely noticed them at all.
It wasn’t until around 34 that things shifted.
Static lines became more noticeable and it started to affect my confidence.
Like many women, I tried Botox a few times and realised it wasn’t the right long-term choice for me.
What surprised me most, though, was that it wasn’t just about lines.
Before finding face yoga and facial wellness, I dealt with regular sinusitis, tension headaches, eye pain and a very clicky jaw.
As I started working with my face, not against it, those symptoms reduced significantly.
Now, it’s not about pretending ageing doesn’t happen.
It’s about softening tension, staying connected and noticing how I feel.
Face yoga isn’t for everyone.
But it’s the way forward for me.
And I always know when I need to return to it.
The tension tells me before the mirror does.
