Meet Dr Gordon Morson 🦷
GDC No. 74502

Graduating from the University of Glasgow in 1998, Gordon has been part of the Macdonald & Morson family for an incredible 27 years. He brings calm confidence, clinical experience and a genuinely caring touch to every patient he meets.

He chose dentistry because it perfectly blends two passions. Caring for people and running a business with purpose. Over the years, Gordon’s favourite part of the job has become clear. Building long-term relationships and helping patients feel at ease while improving their smiles.

When it comes to nervous patients, his advice is simple:

“There are always options to help with fears, and it’s often not as much work as you think. The first step is just having a conversation.”

Outside the practice, Gordon enjoys watching and playing sport, spending time with his kids and playing music 🎶

Myth #5: Baby Teeth Don’t Matter — They’ll Fall Out Anyway

Truth: Baby teeth hold space for adult teeth and help with speech and nutrition. Decay in baby teeth can affect the development of permanent teeth.

That’s why early dental care is key! Start check-ups young to build healthy habits (and avoid tooth troubles later). 🦷✨

Myth #4: Brushing Harder = Cleaner Teeth

👋 Meet the Team: Charles Macdonald (Mr Mac)

After qualifying from Glasgow Dental School in 1983, Charles began his career in Aberdeen before returning closer to home in Falkirk. The rest, as they say, is history.

Charles has been caring for the Alloa community for over 39 years, treating four generations of families, many of whom have become friends along the way.

He gained his Royal College of Dentists and Surgeons Membership in 1997 and has a special interest in family dentistry, crown and bridgework, and oral surgery.

In 1998, Gordon Morson joined the practice as a VT dentist, and the pair have now been business partners for over 20 years, growing Macdonald & Morson Dental Care into the modern and welcoming practice it is today.

These days, Charles enjoys working fewer hours and spending more time with his wife, who retired after 36 years in the business, and their two granddaughters. He continues to enjoy looking after his loyal patients and the wonderful team at the practice.

💬 “It has been a privilege to care for this community for so many years. Treating four generations of families and being part of their lives is truly special.”
