Energy is not just something you have.
It’s something you choose.

Every day, quietly and repeatedly, we feed two different forces in our life.

On one side are the energy takers.
They don’t arrive dramatically. They slip in unnoticed.

β€’ Living in the past
β€’ Mess and mental clutter
β€’ Endless scrolling
β€’ Inconsistent sleep
β€’ Overworking without rest
β€’ Junk food, dehydration, alcohol
β€’ Stress, resentment, fear, negativity
β€’ Constant news and screen exposure

None of these destroy us overnight.
They drain us slowly β€” leaving us tired, irritable, disconnected, and wondering why we feel so heavy.

On the other side are the energy givers.
They are simple, often free, and deeply powerful.

β€’ Nature and sunlight
β€’ Rest and consistent sleep
β€’ Movement and breathwork
β€’ Meditation and stillness
β€’ Gratitude and positivity
β€’ Courage and learning something new
β€’ Hydration and whole foods
β€’ Community and meaningful connection
β€’ Decluttering your space and your mind

These don’t just boost energy.
They restore clarity, peace, and aliveness.

✨ The shift doesn’t require a complete life overhaul.
It begins with one small, conscious swap.

Less scrolling β†’ more sunlight
Less resentment β†’ more gratitude
Less chaos β†’ more simplicity
Less fear β†’ more courage

Protect your energy like it matters β€” because it does.
Your energy shapes your mood.
Your mood shapes your choices.
And your choices shape your life.

Choose what nourishes you.
Every single day.

If you often feel overwhelmed, stressed or anxious then one thing to consider is reviewing and simplifying the different areas of your life.

I've been doing a lot of 'decluttering' over the last couple of weeks. Apparently it's quite a common thing people do once the Christmas decorations come down πŸ€£πŸ˜‚

This time I've been simplying different areas of my life and not just my home:

- I've reorganised furniture and storage in several rooms to both free up space/energy but also so I can spend less time cleaning. That's always a bonus right? πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€£

- I've simplified my clothes, shoes, accessories, toiletries etc to free up physical space, time and headspace (there's a reason the likes of Steve Jobs and Simon Cowell wear the same outfits most days to take up less decision making headspace)

- I've reorganised my storage spaces in my log cabin to make more efficient, and again decluttered stuff I no longer need/use

- I've had a clearout of my phone/laptop and deleted apps, photos, memes, emails, contacts I no longer need etc

- I've also had a huge clearout of my social media accounts. I've unfollowed pages/people either that no longer resonate with me on my journey right now but also to help me spend less time on my phone! I'm very guilty of mindless scrolling several times a day and looking at stuff for sake of it but I don't want to waste my time doing that anymore πŸ™ˆ

- and I'm also being mindful of boundaries in my life. At times I don't stick to my boundaries for work, relationships/friendships, to-do lists etc resulting in me not having enough rest or 'me time'. This can lead to me feeling tired, overwhelmed and underappreciated. This is something I intend to work on more this year!

What can you change to help you? Simplying and decluttering is a huge form of self-care and self-respect. You're worth it

Good evening my lovelies,

If you never managed to watch this show last week on Channel 4, watch it on catch-up

I am an avid follower of Dr Chatterjee as unusually for a GP he is a supporter of finding root causes and lifestyle changes, rather than immediately jumping to the 'here take these pills approach'.

This show is only 45 mins long and he's demonstrating his approach with real life examples.

His books and podcast are also fabulous!

Check it out

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're good.

I appreciate that illness and events happen resulting in clients needing to cancel or reschedule appointments.

I will always try to be flexible with rescheduling appointments. However, failure to attend/reschedule an appointment with less than 48 hours notice of cancellation will incur the full charge for the appointment. This is because I may not be able to fill your appointment slot and I still need to cover my costs (this is my only income source).

Sometimes I have been lucky and been able to fill the space so I won't invoke the cancellation policy, but often with last minute cancellations, the space goes unused.

On other occasions, I’ve had to turn clients away as I had no availability and it’s not fair to those clients to have missed out and then made other plans.

I know many people will feel it's unfair to pay for a service they aren't getting. However, I am a small business, this is my only source of income and I have bills to pay just like everyone else. Think how you would feel if your employer told you that you weren't getting paid for tomorrow morning's shift as they realised they have a lunch date instead or they forgot they had other plans!

I like to be flexible and I'd rather not charge for appointments up front or take a deposit if I can help it, especially when people are having to book 3-4 weeks in advance at the moment.

So, please provide as much notice as possible for cancelling/rescheduling appointments, and understand that if you cancel within 48 hours, you still need to pay for the appointment.

If any of you have the cold or struggle with sinus issues and/or allergies, hayfever etc then have you heard of using a neti pot?

With a neti pot you rinse out your sinuses which clears out mucus and debris. There are several benefits to doing this, including:

- it fully rinses the nasal passage.
- it removes backed-up mucus
- it reduces congestion and improves breathing.
- relieves sinus pressure.
- it improves conditions without the side-effects of over-the-counter medication, like drowsiness or stimulation.

There's a few diff types out there to buy. Some come with a pre-mixed solution (these are usually more expensive) but you can easily make your own. I use boiling water and himalayan salt (which I mix and then let cool before using).

There's loads of websites and videos online showing you how to do it.

I've been using mines for years. I do it at least once a week for maintenance but more often (even daily) if my sinuses/allergies are bothering me. It helps me big time!

Just sharing in case it helps someone else too*
