I little preview for Saturday, I will be doing one of my favourite talks, it all about the psychology of slimming as we all know what we are meant to be doing, so why do we find it so difficult to do it. Also I have got everything planned for every Saturday so you start January exactly where you want to be. This curry is an absolute classic 👀! Loved by members, friends and family... it tastes so good, and you can enjoy it while reaching the weight you want to be ✨.
Let’s make it 👇...
150g fat-free natural yogurt
5 level tbsp tikka curry powder
4 chicken breasts
1 onion and 4 garlic cloves
2cm piece of fresh root ginger
1 red chilli
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cumin
6 tbsp tomato purée
5 tbsp fat-free natural fromage frais
Small handful of fresh coriander and lime to serve
❤️ Mix together the lime juice, yogurt and 3 tbsp tikka curry powder. Add the chicken and mix. Marinate in the fridge for 4 hours, or overnight if you can.
❤️ Preheat your grill to medium. Spray a large pan with low-calorie cooking spray and put it over a medium heat.
❤️ Add the onion, garlic, ginger, chilli, cinnamon, cumin and remaining tikka curry powder and fry for 2-3 minutes. Stir in the tomato purée and 250ml water. Bring to the boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 12-15 minutes, stirring often.
❤️At the same time, thread the chicken pieces onto metal skewers, spray with low-calorie cooking spray and grill for 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through, turning occasionally. Remove the chicken from the skewers and stir into the sauce. Take the sauce off the heat, stir in the fromage frais and scatter over the coriander.

🤩Recipe of the Week 🤩

🥣Butternut squash soup🥣

This Slimming World soup is deliciously smooth and super tasty. If you’re looking for cold-weather lunch ideas, stash a flask of this flavoursome soup

🤩Ingredients 🤩

⭐️Low-calorie cooking spray
⭐️1 onion, diced
⭐️1 medium butternut squash, peeled, deseeded and cut into wedges
1 small potato, quartered
⭐️2 garlic cloves, crushed
⭐️900ml hot vegetable stock, suitable for vegans
⭐️Few thyme sprigs, to serve

🤩Method🤩

⭐️Spray a large non-stick pan with low-calorie cooking spray and put it over a low heat. Add the onion and cook for 1-2 minutes.

⭐️Turn the heat up to medium, add the butternut squash and potato and cook for 2 minutes. Add the garlic and season lightly. Pour in the stock and simmer for 25 minutes

⭐️Using a stick blender or food processor, blend the mixture until smooth. Check the seasoning and serve hot, with the thyme sprigs scattered over.

Add a little bit of spice 🌶️! These Indian-spiced potatoes are our new favourite side – they’re tasty, easy-to-make, and great for using up leftovers 😉.
To make these, you’ll want:
❤️ 1 onion, sliced into rings
❤️ 1 red chilli, deseeded and chopped
❤️ ½ tsp ground turmeric
❤️ ½ tsp garam masala
❤️ ¼ tsp black mustard seeds
❤️ ¼ tsp cumin seeds
❤️ 1 cinnamon stick
❤️ 8 green cardamom seeds
❤️ 450g cooked potatoes, thinly sliced
And the method for making these Indian potatoes:
1️⃣ Cook your onion over a medium heat for 5 minutes
2️⃣ Add the chilli and all the spices and cook for another 2-3 minutes
3️⃣ Tip in the potatoes, and cook over a low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally
4️⃣ Season to taste, and serve hot!

Our members have been loving these jelly sweets, and we had to show you the recipe 🤩! They’re just 0.5 Syns per serving (for four sweets), gluten free, and made in two easy steps 🍓🤍.
1️⃣ Mix 2 x 11.5g sachets of strawberry sugar-free jelly crystals and 2 x 12g powdered gelatine sachets with 280ml boiling water, and let it cool. Then pour half into moulds and chill for 15 mins 🧊.
2️⃣ Stir 170g fat-free natural yogurt, and ½ tsp vanilla extract into the remaining mixture, then pour on top of your chilled layer and chill again until fully set (about 2 hours) ✨.
Our recipe makes 24 little bites – and while we used heart moulds, any shape works 🤩.
