A very special visit to Alness Pharmacy this morning 👇
We were delighted to welcome the First Minister and Maree Todd to the pharmacy to see first-hand the work our team delivers every day for the local community.
This visit was a real opportunity to showcase what modern community pharmacy looks like: accessible, clinical, and at the heart of patient care. From walk-in advice to prescribing and supporting complex patient needs, our team demonstrated the breadth of care now being delivered within pharmacy.
A particular highlight was the opportunity to share the work being led by Katy, whose commitment to her patients and her team truly reflects what community pharmacy can achieve at its best. Through her leadership, resilience, and patient advocacy, she has helped shape a service that consistently steps up to meet the needs of the local population.
We are incredibly proud to see Katy recognised as a finalist for Scottish Pharmacist of the Year! A well-deserved reflection of the impact she is making every day.
Visits like this are important. They help shine a light on the role community pharmacy plays in supporting the NHS and local communities and the potential we have to do even more.
👏 Well done to the whole team for representing the profession so strongly.
