🌸👫 A Blooming Afternoon at Redwoods Care Home! 👫🌸

We had the pleasure of welcoming pupils from Alness Academy for a lovely afternoon of flower arranging with our residents 💐
The home was filled with warmth, friendship, and the beautiful fragrance of fresh flowers 🌷
It was a wonderful opportunity for generations to come together, share stories, and create something truly special.
A huge thank you to our amazing colleagues and the brilliant young visitors who made the day so memorable 🌟👏.

Moments like these remind us of the joy that blossoms when community and care come together 🌼💞.

🎶💜 Music & Memories with Margo Fraser 🏡

Our residents enjoyed a truly special afternoon filled with songs, smiles and reminiscing, thanks to a visit from the talented Margo Fraser 🎤

Fresh from her performance at Eden Court in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Margo kindly took the time to share her beautiful singing with us – and it was absolutely magical ✨

We’re so grateful for the joy she brought to our home, and we hope to welcome her back again soon!

💅🤝 Pamper & Chat with Alness Academy Pupils! 🏫💛

Our residents were treated to a relaxing pamper session this week, thanks to a lovely visit from pupils at Alness Academy 🌟

From hand massages to nail painting, and plenty of friendly chat, the visit was filled with smiles, stories and laughter. It was a beautiful moment of intergenerational connection, with both residents and pupils enjoying each other’s company 💬💅

We’re thrilled to hear this will become a regular weekly event, bringing comfort, companionship, and a touch of glamour to our home.

☕️ A Week Full of Fun at Redwoods! 💛

It’s been a busy and joyful week for our residents, with plenty of activities to enjoy and memories made!

We had a blast playing balloon tennis, shared stories and stitches during Knit & Natter, and rounded things off with a cosy treat - hot chocolate topped with cream and marshmallows for everyone! 🍫☁️

Laughter, conversation, and sweet moments made for a wonderful week full of smiles 😊

🐾❤️ A Lovely Visit from Therapets! ❤️🐾

We were absolutely delighted to welcome Ember the Labrador from Therapets for a special visit to Redwoods Care Home. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her, handing out dog treats, and sharing lots of love and attention. Ember lapped up every moment and brought so many smiles to everyone’s faces! 🐶✨

A huge thank you to our colleagues for helping to make these visits possible — they truly brighten our days.

🫖🕰️ A Trip Down Memory Lane at Redwoods! 🕰️🫖

We had a truly lovely afternoon with the wonderful ladies from Dingwall Museum, exploring fascinating objects from the past and guessing their uses — sparking stories, laughter and curiosity!

Our residents enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea and a good blether, sharing memories and making new ones in great company.

Thank you to our brilliant colleagues and museum friends for creating such a joyful and meaningful experience. We can’t wait to do it again!

🎉 90th Birthday Celebration 🌸

This week we had the joy of celebrating the 90th birthday of our wonderful resident, who has a special love for flowers. The occasion was made extra special with beautiful floral touches in her honour. 🌺🌷🌼

It was a double celebration, as one of our much-loved staff members also celebrated her birthday on the same day!

A day filled with smiles, cake, and warm wishes—truly one to remember. 💐

🎶 National Prosecco Day Celebration 🥂

We were delighted to welcome accordion player Blair Teska, who kindly took time out of his busy schedule to perform for us on National Prosecco Day. Guests enjoyed refreshing Mimosa cocktails as we celebrated in style.

The music, drinks, and company created a wonderful atmosphere, and everyone had a fantastic time. By popular demand, Blair will be joining us again next month for another lively performance—we can’t wait!

🥧🌿 Redwoods Care Home – Rhubarb & Reminiscence! 🍬💬

Our residents had great fun preparing fresh rhubarb for our talented chef to whip up a delicious rhubarb crumble – and the kitchen was filled with laughter and lovely memories!
As we chopped and chatted, many shared stories of growing rhubarb in their gardens and enjoying it with family. Some even indulged in a classic treat – dipping rhubarb in sugar and eating it raw!

It was a heart warming afternoon of connection, nostalgia and teamwork – and we can’t wait to taste the crumble!
