Prescription ordering

We have made some changes to our prescription ordering line to make it more convenient for patients.

You can now choose to leave a voicemail message with your name, date of birth and first line of address followed by what items you would like to order and which pharmacy you would like to collect from. This saves you having to wait in a phone queue and keeps the line clear for those with more complex prescription queries. However you can still opt to speak to someone on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday (see times below)

Mon - 9-11.30am then 2-4.30pm*
Tues - Voicemail only
Wed - 9-11.30am then 2-4.30pm*
Thurs - Voicemail only
Fri - 9-11.30am then 2-4.30pm*

*Press option 1 to leave a message or option 2 to join the queue to speak to a member of the team.

You can also order your repeat medication 24/7 on the NHS App

PAIN GROUP

Our next group session with Dr Syers will be on Tuesday the 12th August 5-6pm and the topic will be ‘Nerve pain’

An opportunity for discussion of topics relating to pain and arthritis with the aim of group participation and discussion. Attendees are encouraged to share their experience and thereby support others in the group.

Refreshments will be available

If you’re unable to attend your appointment, please cancel it. This allows us even at short notice to offer the slot to another patient who may need it.

You can book a face to face appointment at the surgery with one of our First Contact Physiotherapists by calling our Patient Support Team on 01665 656000 or by completing an eConsult form on our website, no GP referral needed

Arriving late can impact appointment times for everyone. Please try to arrive on time to help us keep things running smoothly.

✔️ Allow time for traffic and parking 🚗
✔️ Make sure you’re at the correct building 🏥
✔️ Check in as soon as you arrive ✅

All Practice Nurse and Healthcare Assistant appointments are held in the Upper Building, except during our extended hours on Monday evenings or Saturday mornings, when all appointments take place in the Lower Building 👩‍⚕️

Are you struggling to use the NHS App and Econsult?🤯

We usually attend The Alnwick Garden Elderberries ‘Tea and Tech Group’ the last Wednesday of every month to help with NHS online services

One of our digital champions will be there next to help on Wednesday the 30th July.

This is for anyone aged 55 or over and you can drop in any time between 10am and 12pm.

The Elderberries room is in the courtyard at The Alnwick Garden.

Please bring photo ID if you have it and your phone/tablet with you if you need help to download the NHS app.

The Elderberries Tea and Tech Group runs every Wednesday 10am-12pm if you need help with anything else techy 👩‍💻

If you can’t make this and would like help please call reception on 01665 656000 and ask to speak to one of our digital champions who can help over the phone or arrange to see you face to face at either Alnwick, Embleton or Seahouses.

Suggested £2 donation to cover refreshments ☕️
