At Blooming Good Care LTD, we’ve been exploring ways to show recognition for our amazing staff. Over the past month, Donna, our Registered Manager, came up with a fantastic idea to base this recognition around the 6Cs of care. She even took the time to design special badges and certificates!
Donna and the team worked hard to gather feedback, reviewing documentation, consulting staff, and listening to client experiences. From all of this, we are proud to announce that Safina is the first staff member to receive her recognition certificate and badge for ‘CARE’.
Here’s what the 6Cs stand for:

From working as a specialised Matron in a large University teaching hospital to managing a unit in a residential nursing home, and advising as an Expert Nurse Witness on standards of care, Lisa brings unparalleled knowledge and expertise to everything she does.
She personally chose the name Blooming Good Care, a reflection of the high-quality, compassionate care she believes every client deserves. Every day, she ensures that this standard is not just a name, but a lived reality, for the clients and for her team. Lisa actively listens to her staff, supports them, and makes sure their duties are manageable while fostering their professional growth. She remains hands-on, engaging directly with clients, and leading by example, demonstrating that care is at the heart of every decision.

💙We’re excited to introduce Donna💙, who has transitioned from Senior Care Assistant to our newly appointed Registered Manager as of December 2025.
Donna brings 27 years of care industry experience, starting her career at just 16. She holds NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Direct Care, an Advanced Medication qualification, and is currently working towards her Level 5 Diploma. Her background spans community care, the NHS, secure units, day centres, and services supporting individuals with learning disabilities. She has extensive experience in mental health, dementia care, complex care, rehabilitation, and clinical skills.
Donna is passionate about person-centred community care, making sure each client is valued and supported, having seen firsthand how clients can sometimes be failed throughout her career. She also strives to make a difference to people’s lives, not only her clients but her team, supporting and empowering those around her. Donna has previously worked as a Complex Discharge Tracker within the NHS Discharge to Access team, helping ensure safe and effective hospital discharges. Her professionalism, dedication, and compassionate approach make her a cornerstone of our team, we’re thrilled to have her leading Blooming Good Care LTD into the future! 🩵

Amy joined Blooming Good Care in September 2025 as our Senior Community Care Assistant! She cares deeply for our clients, always going above and beyond to support them, and she also supports her fellow staff. With over 15 years’ experience in people-centred roles, including leadership in education, Amy is skilled in safeguarding, supporting complex needs, and promoting emotional wellbeing. She is fully supported by management to achieve her goals and has enough time and resources to carry out her senior duties effectively. Outside of work, Amy is a trained art teacher who loves using creativity to boost wellbeing and connection. She’s here to help our clients live with confidence, independence, and happiness, and we’re so lucky to have her on the team! 🩵

📣 Long post alert – but totally worth the read! This is what Blooming Good Care is all about 💙🩵
This week at Blooming Good Care has been all about going the extra mile 💙🩵
Our senior Laura went above and beyond to support one of our clients and their family by rearranging a missed hospital appointment, organising transport, and helping to take the pressure off by making everything run more smoothly. It’s this kind of care and dedication that really makes a difference to daily life.

Our senior Amy also put together a fun and engaging quiz pack for our clients, helping to keep minds active and spirits lifted – a lovely personal touch that everyone enjoyed. Amy also took the time to have a picture framed of her and her client who is going into respite, as she was this lady’s keyworker – a beautiful keepsake to remember their special bond.

Our wonderful carers have been just as busy, supporting clients with personal appointments, trips out to garden centres, coffee and cake dates, and even a bit of well-deserved pampering.

Our new Registered Manager Donna, also got involved, taking time out to visit one of our clients for a wash and blow-dry, because she likes to stay hands-on and connected with both clients and staff.

And Lisa, the owner of Blooming Good Care, made a special effort to have beautiful flowers sent to one of our clients who is temporarily leaving us to go into respite, to let them know they are in our thoughts and very much missed.

Even with such a busy week, the team still found time to come together for a meal out to say a fond goodbye and thank you to our lovely Registered Manager, Nikki, for all her hard work and dedication. ❤️
