Flexibility is the ability of a muscle to lengthen.
💫Think of stretching your hamstrings or reaching for your toes.
It’s passive - you’re using gravity or another force to help.
Mobility is your ability to actively move a joint through its full range.
💫It combines flexibility, strength, and control.
Example: lifting your leg high without using your hands.
Why Flexibility matters:
✅ Reduces risk of strains
✅ Improves posture and circulation
✅ Makes daily movements feel easier
But… it’s not the full picture.
Why Mobility Matters:
✅ Supports joint health
✅ Improves movement control
✅ Reduces injury from repetitive strain
💥 Mobility is what lets you use your flexibility.
Flexibility vs. Mobility
🔸Flexibility is passive
🔹Mobility is active
You can be flexible but still struggle to move well — unless you train both.
How to Train Both:
🧘 Stretch for flexibility (yoga, static stretches)
🏋️♀️ Strengthen through range for mobility
💡 Always warm up before deeper mobility work.
Your body moves best when flexibility and mobility work together.
✨ Less pain, better posture, more freedom.
