🎉 We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our brand-new home, Upland Manor Care Home!

Our team has worked tirelessly to create a bespoke, purpose-built luxury care home, perfectly situated in the heart of Northern Moor.

Recently, some of our lovely residents from Ashlands Manor Care Centre — Gwen, Ann, and Joyce — had the opportunity to visit and gave Upland Manor Care Home their seal of approval:

“It’s absolutely gorgeous — there’s nothing I don’t like about it. I’d move in tomorrow if it weren’t for the fact I love my home and life at Ashland Manor!”

This cherished photo captures Margaret with her parents and five siblings, a lively household full of love and laughter.

Growing up as one of six children shaped Margaret’s childhood through the challenges of wartime and rationing, with family always at the heart of it. Later in life, she discovered that one of her sisters wasn’t her biological sibling... A revelation that only deepened her understanding of family and the bonds that truly matter. ✨

The feeling of home brought Ted to Lovett Care, and every day, we honour that sense of belonging in everything we do.

Ted and his wife, married for 35 wonderful years, share a lifetime of memories — from travels across the globe to countless trips to their beloved Italy. They both have a wonderfully positive outlook on life, and his wife visits him daily, sharing laughter, stories, and moments that mean the world to both of them. In her own words, “I feel like I’m part of the family here.”

Our residents have been enjoying a variety of paper crafts this week, including making pumpkins out of paper and pipe cleaners, as well as planting seasonal plants. A lovely way to get creative and welcome the season. 🎨🎃🌱

Friday morning at Twyford, residents enjoyed a hands-on painting session, exploring colours and creating new shades by blending paints 🎨 A lovely creative experience for all 💛

Some lovely activities have commenced at Twyford this week! We've done some colouring and jigsaws, and Diane read the book of Maeve Binchy Quentin's to the residents, which they thoroughly enjoyed and were eager to hear more!

Yesterday we had a general knowledge quiz - the residents did so well and mostly scored 18/19 questions correct! Well done everyone 🥰✨

Last week was one for celebrating! One of our residents, Raymond celebrated his birthday, and on Friday it was Wear it Orange Day - also known as Professional Care Workers Day.

A lovely spread was put on and the care home was decorated beautifully to mark the occasion 🧡🥳

Yesterday at Twyford House, we started off our Halloween crafting by creating some beautiful pumpkins 🎃 and followed it with a fun game of Classic Bingo!
