Are you one of the millions of people in the UK with Diabetes? Here at Watling Street Surgery, we are lucky to host the Cheshire Diabetic Eye Screening Programme who can carry out your required screening.

This service is open to all patients who require screening, whether you are registered with us or not, providing access to those who need it in our local community. Screening can be booked at any of their available locations.

Watling Street Surgery provides the space for Diabetic Retinopathy Screening but we do not have access to their appointments. If you need to speak to somebody regarding your appointment, please call the service on 01270 275523.

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: 📣 𝗢𝗖𝗧 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟮𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 🎈👀
We are pleased to announce the introduction of 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 (𝗢𝗖𝗧) technology within our service, commencing on 25 July 2025.

This advanced imaging technique provides high-resolution, cross-sectional views of the eye, enabling more precise monitoring and diagnosis of retinal conditions.
OCT scans will be offered exclusively to patients requiring more frequent screening and will be available at our clinics in Crewe, Chester, and Macclesfield. Eligible individuals will be invited accordingly.
