In my Build Your Strength class we use a variety of equipment, and it changes week to week. Here’s an example of some of the things we might use:
• Barbells with different weight plates
• Resistance bands – long bands and mini bands
• Sliders
• Pilates equipment like a Pilates ball or ring
• Ankle weights
• Occasionally kettlebells or dumbbells
While the equipment changes, what stays consistent is the movement patterns.
Each week I follow a full body routine, focusing on compound exercises such as squats, deadlifts, rows and chest presses. We just use different equipment and variations to challenge the muscles in slightly different ways.
The class is:

Most importantly, it’s progressive, personalised to you, and fun. Strength training doesn’t have to be intimidating.
