In my Build Your Strength class we use a variety of equipment, and it changes week to week. Here’s an example of some of the things we might use:

• Barbells with different weight plates
• Resistance bands – long bands and mini bands
• Sliders
• Pilates equipment like a Pilates ball or ring
• Ankle weights
• Occasionally kettlebells or dumbbells

While the equipment changes, what stays consistent is the movement patterns.

Each week I follow a full body routine, focusing on compound exercises such as squats, deadlifts, rows and chest presses. We just use different equipment and variations to challenge the muscles in slightly different ways.

The class is:
✔️ Low impact
✔️ Higher reps
✔️ Technique focused
✔️ Safe and beginner friendly

Most importantly, it’s progressive, personalised to you, and fun. Strength training doesn’t have to be intimidating.

If you’ve been wanting to build strength in a supportive small group environment, this is exactly what the class is designed for. 💪

Pregnancy Yoga is coming to Alsager 🙌

A new term of Pregnancy Yoga & Birth Preparation starts at Alsager Wellness Rooms on Tuesday 24th February 7.30-8.45pm 🎉

Here’s what you can expect 👇

A weekly 75-minute class designed to help alleviate common aches and pains experienced during pregnancy.

Suitable from 12 weeks pregnant, pregnancy yoga sessions flow through gentle postures to balance the body, breathwork and breathing techniques to use during labour and birth plus meditation and relaxation to help you connect with your body and your baby.

The movements will help you build strength and stability, with additional focus on supporting the pelvic floor. Alongside the physical practice, each week you’ll also receive short integrated antenatal education segments designed to give you practical tools, knowledge and confidence to prepare for labour and birth.

You’ll be held in a welcoming, supportive, non-judgemental space where you can build your like-minded community, understand the changes of pregnancy, labour and birth and create space each week to connect with yourself and your baby.

✨ Suitable from 12 weeks pregnant right up until you birth your baby
✨ No previous yoga experience necessary.
✨ Classes take place Tuesdays 7.30-8.45pm at Alsager Wellness Rooms
✨ Classes run as a 5-week course (£55).
