Clients benefit from my many years of experience, my full attention, my gentle presence and my open mind I have counselled in many different settings including Portsmouth and Southampton Universities, HSDC (Alton) College, Alton Counselling Service (Initial Assessment Counsellor and Trustee), Alton Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre, Kidney Care UK, Naomi House and Jack's Place children's hospice and the specialist cancer charity Victoria's Promise. For the last 5 years I have worked for myself in private practice, helping clients who are facing a whole variety of difficulties and concerns. I have a particular interest and expertise in working with illness and loss and I continue to work as a designated counsellor for the cancer charity Victoria's Promise. I have a passion for enhancing mental wellbeing through walking and nature and I bring this in to my work where appropriate. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hold professional liability insurance. I have undertaken many training courses including how to work outside with clients and broader ecotherapy trainings. Bringing these skills into my work often introduces an 'other than human' or more spiritual aspect. I approach my work with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.
