🤝 A patient participation group, or PPG, is a volunteer group of patients who work collaboratively with the GP practice.

👍 They help plan and improve practice services by ensuring that the patient perspective is represented.

🧑‍⚕️Cervical Cancer Prevention Week 👨‍⚕️

Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers and taking a few simple steps can make a big difference.

✔️ Attend your cervical screening when invited.
✔️ Ensure you have had your HPV vaccination if eligible, which helps protect against the virus that causes most cervical cancers.
✔️ Don’t ignore symptoms such as unusual bleeding, pain, or discharge. Speak to your GP.

Screening saves lives by detecting changes early, before cancer develops. If you’ve received an invitation, don't forget to book your appointment.

💊 Some people are entitled to free NHS prescriptions, such as those who are under 16, over 60, pregnant, on certain benefits, or who hold a valid exemption or prepayment certificate.

☑️ If you’re claiming an exemption, please make sure your certificate is current and valid at the time of signing.

💸 Claiming incorrectly, or without a valid certificate, may result in an NHS penalty charge.

If you’re unsure whether you qualify, our dispensary team will be happy to help — just ask our dispensers before signing.
